Noticed the e-brake light illuminated on the way in to work. Checked and verified the e brake was off. Drove 3/4 mile to work (also first safe spot) and parked. Brakes are barely able to stop the truck; the pedal goes straight to the floor.

One side of the brake reservoir is very low.

I suspect the master cylinder has failed and is leaking into the brake booster. I am waiting on a tow truck.

Has anyone here had this happen? Did you replace the brake booster or just clean it out?

Well had time to take it all apart; all the fluid went in the brake booster. Removed it and cleaned it out, reinstalled it. Just waiting to pick up the new MC tomorrow.
