prices must have shot up since i bought but i paid somewhere around 25,500 for my doublecab TRD Sport with/jbl tow, and some other stuff, 4 x2. NEVER PAY MSRP!!!! Like someone said use emounds to price what should be paid. I lived in Vegas so i emailed all the dealerships to see what i could get and kept emailing the best price i had until i couldnt get it any lower. Turn the dealerships against each other and it will pay off cause someone wants to sell a truck.

That seems to be the case. I searched and it seems that there are no rebates or dealer incentives available for the time being. I bet once I buy the truck they'll announce a bunch of new incentives or something like that.

Even prior to the rebate, mine was less than MSRP. What does Edminds.com say the truck is worth in your area. BTW, you should be doing all your negotiating on-line. Also, many people on here who have paid high prices obviously have not negotiated properly, so don't use a high price as an indicator of a "good" price. With the economy the way it is, the deals should be out there.

Agree, Its funny as I have been in 3 different cities in the southeast and always check to see what the local dealer has on the lot. When I email them they all come back saying its a tough truck to find etc etc. But then you see that most of these trucks have been sitting quite some time. I see the one i was looking at is still stitting at the dealership. To me its silly to buy now and just better to wait and see what happens.

Forgot to add that sticker was 32 and some change. I also got running boards which wasn't included in the sticker price. I checked another dealer and the best they could do was 30 on a similiar truck. I was actually going to buy a used Tacoma. But around here, it's a waste of money. I found an 06 with 80,000 miles on it and they wanted 21,000 for it. Most of the used ones with low miles are 24,000 to 26,000. Lower apr, warranty, and 0 miles were all factors that made me jump on the one I have.

I havent tried to jew em down yet they wont have it on the lot till jan. the dealer said they sold the most toyota trucks nation wide last year. What do think about this price? Edmunds said it is average for my area

I paid 24,300 for my 10' access cab 4x4 sr5 2.7 in September. No deals to be had, and very few trucks to choose from in my area.

I paid $2K UNDER MSRP out the door in Jan '09. I have a similarly configured truck.. doublecab, long bed, 4x4, Sport, JBL. Cost on truck was actually nearly $2k below dealer invoice when I bought it...

I say tell them to eat those fees!

    -What is "TMF"?
-you didnt have them install anything, so dont pay that one.
-as for delivery, you didnt special order it or anything...so no to that one.
-idk what those "holdback" fees are but they seem like a rip to me.
tell them to drop all the fees...if they wont drop all of them, at lest the top two. Make them sweat for the sell.
and get quotes from a few diferent dealers via internet and take at least 3 with you to the dealer, that way you can get the best price.

    Good luck!:D

It's tuff to deal with these guys. I have also been shopping for a 2010 DC Trd off road and the best price I can find is $29.500 and that is not out the door. I can't quite figure out whats going on right now with the dealers because I have bought 3 toyota trucks previously and allways found someone willing to wheel and deal. I know the prices I am being quoted are high so I am holding off. It sucks that there are no factory incentives being offered on the Tacos but you might want to hold tight. December and January typically suck for new car sales so things may loosen up real soon.

    Too few to list.
Just to give you an idea, in April 09 my cousin bought an 09 PreRunner AC with TRD OR minus the JBL package that you wanted and the sticker was a bit shy of $27K and after the $1K rebate, it was $22.5K plus tax and fees. Try to get quotes online first from a few dealerships and go from there.
