Just as a reference, I bought all 4 TRD OR wheels/tires with 150 miles with TPMS and spare tire for $700. I also sold a set of just the TRD OR wheels for $500 on craigslist.

As someone with an SR5 that's trying to find a set of these, I think many people are asking too much. I've seen sets of Craigslist ranging from $550 to $1000 and you can buy takeoffs at your local dealer for around $750 in my area (wheels and tires only).

And also, there are so many sets out there between new owners getting rid of them and dealers being overloaded with unwanted wheels that I don't think they are personally worth half of what people are asking. I think anywhere between $500 to $750 is fair.

I sold mine for $800 rims only 15 miles on them.

I contacted the dealer to get the retail pricing to help determine my sale price and the dealer sells them for $400 per rim, $1600 total. So really they are being sold at 50% of retail.

I see a lot of new Tacoma take offs between 600 for SR5 and 800+ for TRD. Same ads renewed every week. not many people are buying unless it's a good deal.

Back in the dark ages when I had a third gen SR5, I bought the OR wheels and tires, with sensors, for $500 from a member here. Then I sold my new SR5 wheels and tires for $375. The guy that bought mine had an old 4runner, so I pulled the sensors and sold them too. Wheeling and dealing the new setup cost me $50.

The thing is, most buyers are looking for a deal. And most sellers think used wheels and tires are worth the same as gold bullion. They are used tires people!! Hence, they sit in the sellers garage taking up space.

Furthermore, when I sell stuff on CL I Price it cheap and sell it to the first guy. The less people (potential burglars) that I have to deal with the better. It's not worth my time to wring an extra $50 out of some guy. I have a job, I'll just go earn more money. I wheel and deal for fun. It's kind of a game to buy and sell stuff. Especially surfboards.

This has been a helpful thread as I'm about to jump in and try to sell my OR rims on my 2017. Maybe I need to get the guy that got $800 to sell mine! I guess I'll unload the tires too but they are kind of growing on me.

Boy, they sure are proud of those things. I bought my KO2s for less than that from Discount.
Anyone want a set of 4 OR TIRES for 75 bucks apiece with 8000 miles on them?

These tires actually sell for more than $200 each. I can get Duratracs cheaper. I like the ride and they are really quiet but I want something more aggressive. You'll have no problems unloading them for that.

I like the highway ride but that's it. They are awfully soft. Too soft. GY has been doing that for a while now. Maybe they think they are Michelin now. What I've been looking for forever is a c load range tire with aggressive tread but apart from a Duratrac (another soft tire) the options are slim.

I sold my 2017 TRD OR OEM wheels and tires for $900 w/o TPMS on CL. They only had a few hundred miles on them, practically new. The guy who bought them had a new 2017 SR5 and wanted my setup. I advertised it for $900 firm and sold them in about 10 days, this was about a month ago. I'm in Norcal/SF Bay Area, the buyer lived about 1 hour north of my house, drove to my house and picked them up. Good luck selling yours.

I've put items for sale on Craigslist and Facebook marketplace and I get lowballed on everything. I absolutely despise the people on there. They want high priced items for nothing. Then I see these same people selling a pair of shoes for $400 while trying to tell me my item isn't worth what I'm asking.

I paid $600 for a set of 2016 Off-Road wheels, tires and TPMS with a few hundred miles on them. Found them for sale on the forum and they where about 20 miles away. I have seen sets listed for between $500-1200. The ones listed for more then $750 seem to sit for a long time.

Well, I'll give you my $.02. I'm currently looking for TRD OR take-off's, as I bought an SR with steelies. I think the market is there for take-off's with the TPMS sensors installed, particularly with the SR crowd, because you can't reliably transfer the sensors from the steel wheels. I just missed a set with 900 miles for $600 that included the TPMS sensors. I don't want to go through the hassle of dealing with the tire shop, so I won't buy anything without the TPMS sensors.

I have no problem paying an extra $150-$200 for a set with TPMS, because I can bolt them on at home and be done with it. If you leave the sensors in, I think you'll get the cost back on the sale price. It's not like my tires, with 170 miles on them, are going to dissolve because they're on a steel wheel.

The point made earlier was very relevant. If you're going to go with take-off's w/o TPMS, the world is open to you when it comes to wheels. With 170 miles on my tires, I don't need tires, so at a $600-$800 price point, I can get just about any wheel I want with a new set of TPMS sensors. In my case, I just happen to really like the stock TRD OR wheels.
