Faith/blessings/prayer requests/fellowship and BS

Thought I would start a thread for the people who are believers in Christ to come together and fellowship online.

I by no means am trying to push religion down people’s throats but I have seen a few people talk about prayers and stuff so I thought this would be a good thread for sharing things like need for prayer or testimonies or needing support for things, as well as the greatness of God.

I think the hardest part for people is to openly say they are believers and talk about struggles and I hope this is a place people can do that. just my opinion

 

I believe there was a similar thread already and it got shut down after awhile because people couldn’t play nice, even though the mods let it run its course for awhile.

Nothing quicker to divide a room than politics and religion which is why it’s typically not allowed here, on a truck forum.

Just wanted to give you a heads up so if one day the thread gets locked or deleted, you’re not scratching your head as to why.

 

I’m not surprised.... and I know it’s not for everyone. Like I said not shoving anything down people’s throats just giving us a space to fellowship and communicate.

 

Well since I made this thread I better “have some skin in the game” and walk the walk...

I could use some prayers for my marriage and for guidance to get thru some very stressful situations.
I feel blessed to have some people that have stepped up next to me and helped with some good conversations. I hope everyone else has people like that in their lives.

 

Prayers! Everyone has rough times in their marriage, if they dont they are either covering it up or so far apart they dont even realize they are having problems...Hope you work things out!

Every time I get mad at my wife for something, I remind myself that she agreed to spend her life with me, which actually means that she's probably not as smart as I thought she was and I should cut her some slack

 

Maybe she says the same thing

 

Thank you guys... it’s not easy going thru this but I will continue to keep my eyes to the sky....

 

First, I’m praying for you in this situation. It is a struggle at times for sure. And I’m sure my wife feels the same. But in the end, I know it’s worth it. Anything good is worth fighting for.
Second, Thank you for starting this thread as well. I’ve searched for something similar a few times. Good to know other Christ followers are on here.

 

Well like said above I’m not trying to for it down anyone’s throats so as long as people can play nice we should all be able to have a community of support.

 

Yes, its difficult at times when you cant go too deep into it, but i understand its a private forum.

Have you looked into marriage counseling through your church? Are you guys apart of small groups as well? My marriage benefited so much by looking towards God for guidance and being able to have brothers and sisters in Christ hold us accountable/offer their helping hand and experiences

You're not the first Christian to struggle through life and marriage and it's okay. I'd be lying if I said my marriage is perfect, but it is exponentially better now. I know we'll always have our days but our love and our martial problem solving skills have never been better.
