For those that were considering... Here's what Falken said when I reached out to them:

'Thank you for contacting Falken Tire
Between the Rubitrek and WildPeak AT3W both tires perform the same, the WildPeak AT3W is more aggressive tread and sidewall pattern.
Rubitrek is quieter and has a lower UTQG rating (600AB vs 660AB).
The Rubitrek is only available to certain dealers so it might be a little harder to find.
Both have a 55k mileage warranty, 30 Day Ride and limited road hazard warranty if purchased 2019.
I've attached some information on the Rubitrek and WildPeak AT3W.'

Note: Seems that the Rubitrek is ~$120 less expensive (S rated) on a set of 4 (free shipping from CarID)

They also forwarded the attached collateral...

Thanks! Its a old grain silo that was converted to storage at my work. Its empty now though so we use it for parking during hail storms.

Ended up buying and installing the Rubitreks and have been really happy with them. As quiet as my worn down Toyo Open Country ATs but way better traction than the Toyos ever had. Love the beefy look of them too.

No complaints on my Falken AT3W. Handled well last winter.

out of curiosity where were they made? I work in the US plant but they didn’t have them for us to order in the kiosk in the plant. I was thinking maybe we only run them in out Thailand or one of or Japanese plants. Maybe we do a small batch of them but I’ve never seen them, and we don’t have any on display inside the plant.

I wish the rubitrek had more size options. I want to start running 255 80 17s and the rubitrek had caught my eye. Could go with 285s I spose.

Old ass post, i know, but I've been comparing the 2 as well. Just say the Rubitrek's in a 285/70/17 with free shipping for $688. How so cheap? Long term updates for those that bought them a yr ago? Thanks

That’s not that cheap, you can get Wildpeaks cheaper. Buddy of mine at the plant got a set for his girlfriend, he likes them. When I ordered My wildpeaks At the plant there was no listing for the Rubitrek. I was thinking of going that route, just to be a little different. The compounds are different, they don’t have as much silica so apparently they won’t have as much wet/snow traction. The Wildpeaks are suppose to have good wet/snow traction but personally I think they aren’t so great. A lot of older guys in the plant bitch about the amount of silica in the compounds, for a lot of the tires. I kinda wanna check the Rubitrek out to see how they are. Maybe this fall I’ll see if I can order a set

I also just purchased a set of four 285/75/16 Falken Rubitreks from Simple Tire, they were hard to find too! Price was 873.

I was torn between BFG A/T and Rubi, they both weigh under 60lbs too! I went with Rubi this time. I have run BFG's in the past and wanted to try a new tire....

FWIW - Still very happy with the Rubitreks... Seem to be wearing well and traction remains impressive.
