I still have one of the Firestone Destination installed on the spare wheel. It is really not necessary to change it since it is only a spare. Matching spare would be nice though.

Yes I’ve been doing this for years until one day I got tired of manually counting the mpg and relied mostly on the digital mpg indicator.

I am not changing lights but I was thinking of adding the raptor lights.

Thanks. I was thinking of getting a full spare tire but I may scrap that idea.

I’m gonna do a 2800 mile review later. My last thread was based on 2500 miles. Going forward, I will do mini-updates every 100 miles to include tread depth and air pressure retention.

OP - I have Rubi’s with about 3k on them. I can’t hear them over the cab noise. Very happy with them after plowing and mud season. Simpletire listed the weight for the P rated 265/70/16 at 42.3 pounds.

    Enjoy!!!

Thanks, yeah I saw your post before buying and one of the reason Rubitrek was considered besides Wildpeak AT3W and Kenda Klever

I may add another one after this after I purchased one for the spare wheel and discuss how it fit very well and how it is fitting under the truck bed. :D

Seriously, this is a forum and post like this could also help other users with their decision that scanned only new posts and did not use the search function. Also, this helps making the Rubitrek’s become popular to TW members. YouTube do no have much videos about Rubitreks but a lot on Wildpeak’s lol.

You're definitely right about the YouTubes. I was trying to find info on the Rubitreks a while ago and there are like 2 videos about them and 1 of the 2 videos is not helpful lol

Yes, I am very please because it is quiet or I will have buyers remorse. I did not question myself why I did not get the Wildpeak :D

Yeah I saw the data on simple tire as well, anyways I based the weight on Amazon which is probably incorrect. If you scroll down on the bottom of Simple Tire after selecting the tire size. Simple Tire shows it is for "Light Truck" and also on Ebay it says Vehicle Type is Light Truck.

    Thank you.

Yes, I did watch YouTube videos and you're correct about only 1 video was helpful lol. There is 3rd short video where the owner wanted to let the viewers know how quiet are the Rubitreks, that video helped my decision which tire to purchase.

It’s fun to say Rubi. I feel like I have a close relationship with my tires.

I’ve searched but I get mixed results and most of the one I’ve seen tire pressure recommendation is for going off road.

Does anyone know the recommended tire pressure for All Terrain Tires on highway driving to get the most of mpg?

My installer set the pressure at 35 and I’ve kept it there, as high as 38 due to temps. I’m no expert by any means, but I like how the truck feels and it tracks way better than the stock tires at 32. They felt a little splashy…

I’ve checked and my installer had all 3 at around 36, 37, 38 and the one on the driver side was at 48 . I have put all the tires at 38psi and will test, I will also test 32psi.

Look it is totally your truck and if you like the lights then put them on. Who the hell am I to give you any advice? I just personally don't like them for a Tacoma, but again, that is me. I really should not have said anything.

Thanks, I am new to modifying trucks and like to listen opinion of other owners so I would not overdo stuff. I like cars and like to modify cars tastefully and does not look like a rice-burner :D and would like to apply it on trucks. This is the second time I am hearing negative about raptor lights and got me thinking. I don’t want my truck to end up like the cars (truck version) with neon lights on the bottom their cars.

Remember, air expands when gets warm. 38 psi cold is way to much. 38 will become 45 in 30 minutes of freeway driving

Thanks for the advise. I will be keeping the pressure to 32psi.
