So if you are running falken wild peak at3 tires in 285/70-17 I was wondering what your average gas mileage is. I was gonna run ko2's but can get a screamin deal on some at3s and as long as the mileage stays close I'm gonna pull the trigger on the falken tires. Also anyone that has had both I would appreciate the input on what you did or didn't like about each tire and what tire you would choose again.

Can’t speak for 285’s but I’m running 265/75/16’s on the Tacoma and 35/12.5/20’s on the tundra...I would buy again. Gas mileage didn’t really noticed any significant difference either way. Tacoma is usually 16-18 the tundra 9-13mpg.

I’m running the regular SL’s, might of got a .5 mpg loss. Nothing extreme. And thanks ahead of time for buying Falkens! Every tire sold helps secure our jobs at the plant.

Falkens usually get better mpgs than KO2, I believe they are lighter.

i looked at both in 265/70/17 and wound up with the KO2's in C range. lost MAYBE 1mpg.... i have more confidence in the KO2's lasting longer in keeping propper tread vs cupping out or wearing weird. that's just me though.

i will say, i could've done the AT3's for about half the price. i ended up with teh KO2's mounted balanced and all that for $860 OTD. I'm sure either one will be great for 30k-40k miles, it's that last 25%....

Just put a set of 265/75/16 Falken AT3's on my truck from Discount tire and had to go back for a rebalance. Manager said that they are so popular some are needing a rebalance. Drive okay now will see how they wear.

I have a set of 265/75/16, but E rated - dropped a couple MPG overall, but not really that big of a difference. I know if you get the SL or standard rated ones, the hit is barely noticeable.

I’M currently a builder in the Moto build shop. I make Dunlop and Harley motorcycle tires. I’m not sure exactly what lines they all run down in the PCR department. If we run them they run small lots at a time every few months or something. Or they come from an entirely different plant from another country. When you get them see where they are made and let me know. Btw it’s possible depending on the warehouse and the distributor that you could have the same tires made in different plants. However that will be listed on the tire which plant it was made.

I just installed the Falkens, and they are surprisingly quiet. More quiet than the duratracs I had on my 05 yota. I’d grab these again. I went with 285/70/17s
