My friend runs them on his truck, they're decent tires but look pretty boring

I definitely think the wildpeaks have superior grip, we've run a few trails and he loses traction a lot more than me

I’m a Toyo (and nitto) fan but another vote for the Falkens. I put the SLs on mine just to try something new and they have been flawless for 12k now.

Op where are you seeing that the General has taken over the owner ratings?
I’m in the same boat and have crossed the BFG off the list due to wet weather traction issue reports. But not sure if this affects all the BFG KO2s or just the E rated.
SL or P rating is fine unless hard wheeling or heavy loads.
One thing I’m keeping a eye on is weight. The stock Good Years are 37 lbs.

Be honest with what your going to use the truck for and pick your tires accordingly.

I have about 5k on my falkens and they are great. I chose them mostly because of their wet traction. I have them in SL. I will be testing them this summer offroad, but so far they are great onroad. Quiet too

To chime in with weight, I've got a 4cyl and my stock tires were 245s and weighed close to thirty pounds

My new tires are the E rated wildpeaks and they weigh 56 pounds, and it really doesn't feel that different. Don't worry too much about weight IMO

Same, I've tried to lose traction in the rain and these tires won't slip at all

FYI: this website gives out all the tire specs - weight, actual width and height, tread depth, etc. Click on any tire and you will find more specs than you ever dreamed of.

Good to know the weight of the OE tires. Thanks!

The lightest of these tires in 265/75-16 are the 44 lb Falken Wildpeaks SL.

Ran all 3. Had the generals and the falkens on the taco. Falkens were way better all around. Bfg on the last tundra. Never again. Have toyos right now on the tundra will be going back to falkens for sure

The reviews of each tire are cumulative of all sizes; they are not size specific.

I was previously KO2 only, but put the Wildpeaks on instead. Just got back from a weekend camping trip with some moderate off road, and I'm pretty damn happy with the choice.

Sorry, didn’t see the second part of your question.

This website is much more comprehensive when it comes to sizes available for each tire: You can punch any tire size you can dream of and it will tell you if there’s a tire made in that size. It also translates into inches how much a given tire size height and width is. You can search tires using 33” or 35” format. You can also visually compare different tire sizes side-by-side. It tells you how much a different tire size will impact your speedometer reading. It’s a pretty neat tool.

My next tire will likely be the Falken's.

Had the grabbers and now have KO2's.

Grabbers were ten folds better than the KO2 in all conditions. Especially rain/snow. Only made the switch because the dealer kept telling me my wobbles were tire related. Well, Both sets wobbled. A new truck rid the wobble

Aye, I did and thats what I will plan on doing. Just a little disappointing is all. I put Cooper AT3 4S on my wifes CRV at the same time and she has 8k miles on those with almost NO discernible wear.

Looks like Falken Wildpeak gets the overwhelming recommendation.

I’m good with that. As great as KO2s have been to me over the years, I am ready to try something new. The fact that the Falkens are significantly cheaper is an added bonus.

    Thanks everyone!
