I had Duratracs on my 2014 Wrangler Sahara: I was not completely happy with them. They are undoubtedly comfortable, quiet, and excellent in snow and ice, but gave the Jeep a weird “floaty” feeling on the freeway. And the sidewalls are notorious for being puncture-prone on the trail.

Haha ! I've had 2 sets of KOs and KO2s, no issues and get around 55,000 miles out of them. If I was buying tires today i would look at the Cooper ST Maxx, just to try something different.

I too have been buying KO2s over and over for years. I really have no complaints with that tire.

They are a great tire on these trucks and sometimes I dont understand why there is not more love for them on here. Totally understand about the sidewall concerns if you rock crawl. I live in FL so no rocks on my trails.

I can’t comment on the KO2 or General but I’ve put a little over 30k on the Falkens so far and they’ve been great..

I have KO2’s and have been happy with them other than their weight. I have about 35,000 on them with a ton of life left.
I thought about Wildpeaks but don’t really want to go through the hassle of finding 5 that will balance true.

The Falken Wildpeaks AT3W performed flawlessly this weekend on some rocky+muddy snowmelt mogul type of terrain. The guys working at an off-road shop close to me all swears by these tires. Personally I've never owned the other tires so I can't speak for them, but I've been extremely impressed by these.

General Grabbers will be my next All Terrians. I ran the Grabber Arctic LT winter tires his past winter, and they were incredible. I was kinda hard to go back to my K02 summer tires.

General is the “sleeper” brand. They are making some of the best tires out there now and I think BFG better watch their back. I think the Grabber may be “the” tire to have in 2020. They even offer a treadlife warranty on it.

I have KO2s and love them but you can’t go wrong with any of those choices.

I've heard KO2s suck ass from far too many people, outweighing the people who swear by them. Over priced for the poor performance you get but they look nice. I've heard really good things from General Grabber lately from multiple people. Falkens are sworn by by what seems to be solely based off of the very inexpensive price - but I've also heard that quality leaves some to be desired. Over all I cannot vote because I have never used these tires. I went from stock Wranglers to a set of Cooper ST MAXX because I needed an aggressive tire while maintaining at least some road manners - most of what I see in my town is mud, mud, more mud, and some dirt/wet roots and I needed more ground clearance (33s without trimming/chopping, 255/85r16)

How were the Grabbers on ice?

I have ran AT KO's since moving to Colorado 21 years ago and they have really done well in most snow if the tread depth was not getting lean. I also really like the burly sidewall of the KO2's, do a lot of off road where sharp rocks can be an issue and have always done well. But on ice which we had a ton of this year with lower temp gradient storms and freezing overnight, well it was white knuckle driving on more mornings than I care to experience.

The thing that has my attention on the Grabbers is the ability to take Winter studs. They are also cheap enough that I would consider them a dedicated Winter set. They get top ratings at Tirerack but being a fairly new tire they have not accumulated even a tenth the number of ratings as the KO2's have.

I have a few months yet so I'll keep digging.

Go for whichever is cheapest. I was going to buy the Wildpeaks at discount tire, but they weren't going to have any in stock for a few days. They offered the Ko2s at the same rate, so I went with those. I've driven on both tires, performance is about the same. I'd imaging they perform the same as the General Grabber as well.

had both KO2 and now AT3W. love them both. the K02 took more maintaining (adjusting air level when i noticed strange wear ect) but a great tire that lasted 60k miles. took that tire to hell and back here on lava rocks. amazing tire.

the AT3W is amazing too. cus SL, it has better road manners than the K02 did. that being said, just got them so not sure how good or how long they will last. couldn't resist cus i saw them in 265/75r16 on amazon for 108 a tire. took advantage of Amazon's mounting service at sears too. so mounted and balanced, i paid around 550 total for 4 new AT3W's. considering the cheapest K02 you can get in hawaii is from costco at around 850ish for 4 when there is a sale, even if i blow 2 or these AT3W's, i still came out saving a bit of money.

friends that have the AT3W swear by them. I say they are amazing especially at the price point.

Falken advertises their Wildpeak in the LT ratings have 20/32” tread depth. Also, they make a 255/80 17 to be around a 33.1” tire, almost at the 33.5” KO2 (which BFG calls their 34”).

Based on tread depth, weight, size, and value, the Wildpeak will be my next purchase.

According to TireSize.com, the Wildpeaks with a E-load range have a 18/32 tread and overall diameter of 31.9 inches; the deepest and tallest of these three. The same tire in SL have only a tread depth of 14/32 but weigh 10 lbs less per tire.
