Went with 265/70/16. Just wanted to keep my silly air dam and add as little rotating mass as possible.

I totally get it because the original tires were 37lb and these WildPeaks are only 44lb compared to some of the big dogs that go from 60-80lb per tire. I went on some dirt and mud roads today and the WildPeaks did along with my Ironman Foam Cell and it all handled very well. So I am very happy with my decisions. Oh and my gas mileage is really unnoticeable still right around 19 mpg

Woof, those boring stock Goodway Wrangler Kevlar tires looking better by the day!
    Still looks really good IMO.

My cousin works at a dealership. Quoting me 177/tire and 171/wheel (4R pros).. seems like a good deal

I think they’re max size you can run on stock suspension. I had like cooper highway tires in that size on the stock trd spot rims. Didn’t rub or anything. I don’t think Toyota officially states it as a maximum stock size, but I think it’s more TW members and taco owners in general reporting their experiences.

255/80r17 AT3w on 4Runner SR5 wheels. Still running stock UCAs and no rub, even on trails. Liking the tires so far can’t wait to try them in snow soon.

Really old thread but it really helped me pull the trigger on these. 265 70r17 and so far they are amazing. Like everyone mentioned they look so much more aggressive and better in person. At very low speeds I can hear them but sounds like the interstate at night from a distance, a very low wind noise like sound. Not at all annoying but just mentioning it to help share info. At any other speed I can have my windows down and still play music at the same exact volume as before. Going from stock goodyear wrangler kevlar to these.

Thanks man! I spent a year and a half deciding on a lift and tire set up but trying to be an adult and pay off debt I decided to leave it factory but go up a tire size and I'm glad I did. Very slightly taller, still rides like factory, still the same gas mileage, but looks a lot more aggressive. I rarely ever have time to go off road but I use it all the time to haul trees and junk so it's perfect.

Since this was bumped, figured I'd share an update. I'm at 60,xxx and counting on my 33s, 10 ply, and still going strong. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if I could get 70k out of them.

Thanks! Yeah I saw tons of pics that you couldn't see the tire details so I wanted to make sure it was clear.
Correct, they are the SL ones. I wanted to go as light as possible with my uses. I looked at the specs and even these SL's had a higher load rating than the factory wranglers. I read in some threads (supposedly from a falken rep) that these wildpeak SL's are more closely compared to the C Rated ko2 's even with the fewer ply sidewall. Don't know how true that is but I think they will serve me well and time will tell.

That's crazy! Good to hear. Not surprised for what I've heard

Falken are the best buy in tires you can get for the price.

Agreed. It hurt reading all the people that bought the exact same tire and size in 2018-2019 for $39-400 shipped but such is "inflation"

Yeah they do! I'm super happy with the look. I got the knock off trd pro rims because they have the +5 offset vs the factory +4 and they are perfect. Almost too much, I definitely need some mudflaps now. My driveway is gravel so every time I leave I get surprises thrown up at my arms. I learned to leave them inside the truck until I'm off my street.
