I wish I had bought them last time but used the coupons on those awesome looking Falkens sitting in my garage courtesy of Discount Tire Direct. I couldn’t pass them up for the price and the price broke the tie between the Wildpeaks and Duratracs. Now if eBay will just hurry up and give another coupon.....

Does anyone have the Wildpeak 265/75/16 on a TRD Pro that has wheeled and articulated the suspension and experienced rubbing on the UCAs? I'm picking up a 2018 Pro Saturday and interested to know before I replace the tires next week.

I think he's asking about SL vs LT tire comment. I am curious too. The comment was to get the LT tires as SL aren't as good.

Toyo open country A/T IIs are manufactured in LT and P variants. The LT tire is much more robust with a more pronounced tread design. The P version is designed for road use with less tread depth and less space between lugs. There is a big difference between the two. I have experience with the LT design and my opinion is biased on such.

LT designation = Light truck tire
P designation = Passenger car tire

I would be all for a C (6 ply) rated LT tire, but E (10 ply), which seems most prevalent, is to much I think for my application.

The difference between the SL and the LT in 265/75/16 is 41 lbs and 55 lbs.
I'm sure the LT is much more stout but thinking the SL is more suited to retain mileage and still give good performance..

Correct, is fuel mileage is top concern the P version with the SL rating is the optimal choice. Personally, I couldn't spend money on the P style. When seeing them next to the standard LT design, they are sad looking. I ran the C rated LT design and they were outstanding.

No issues in 19k miles with my sad looking SL rated 265/70/17's. Tows, wheels, and drives fine.
