Dont shoot yourself in the foot. Go with Wildpeaks. Best bang for your buck, bar none.

KO2’s are overrated. HEAVY and ride rough.

If you are gonna step up to an E load tire, there are better options out there than the KO2s.

You also will be giving up a bit of power/mpg by choosing them over the WP’s:

This is subjective, but Wildpeaks look way better. Pictures dont do the tire justice. Same size and they seem wider than the KO2s.

Then there is the difference in price....

Not my pictures but I think these do a good job capturing the “aggressiveness” of the WP’s in person:

I just snagged a set on Ebay yesterday from CARID. 265/75 16 shipped to my door, $465. Given the fact that I can probably recoup about $350-400 by selling my stock tires with 2200 miles on them, I cant pass up a deal like that.

I will be doing this as soon as the stocks wear some more. I had them on my TRD Sport w/ SCS wheels and loved the look and performance/sound balance.

A couple years ago Sumitomo took back control of the Plant in Tonawanda NY that was a joint operation with Goodyear. After the Goodyear contracts were up they brought in the Falken line

I did get the Falkens after all lol. Super happy with them. They look way more agressive in person and the price is great.

Missed the boat today on some Ray 10s, sold in under a minute. Going to run some 285/70R17 Falken on stock sport rims until I can get some Ray 10s. Might have to settle for black Method NVs and powdercoat the bolts black, they do look better without the centre cap as pictured above. I have KO2s 285 on my first gen Tacoma.

Anyone in Canada looking for Falkens I found a place, 285s for $950 cnd shipped. They also sell to the US be around $725 for a set.

pretty sure I'm going to pull the trigger on a set of these in the next few days to go on some new wheels. looks like the MPG loss is minimal and they will work with a stock suspension on a 3rd gen OR, at least with the SL? has anyone put these in the spare wheel area, curious if its worth getting a set of 5 or sticking with 4?
