I’ve only heard of that with the 4Runner TRD rims in 17”, that changes the offset and I think even that was full lock in reverse.

I don’t think there is anyone in the 45 pages of this thread that have reported rubbing with 75’s

From what I’ve read with anyone running AT3’s, Cooper, Toyo, and Falkens…. They seem pretty on par with each other, similar compound and tread blocks, good in snow/ice etc.

That being said, I’m on my second set of the Falken’s. Great in winter, no issues in any other condition an price was right.

Anyone got a long term mileage report on these? Currently running same size in E rated duratracs. Got 93k out of my last set.

Guys at work are running the Falkens and have positive comments. None have had for very long though.

They have a 55k mileage guaranty, that said mine were down to 4/32'd around 35k miles so I got a heavy pro-rated amount toward my next set.... so I stuck with them again.

I was just told that i'm running too low of a pressure. I know there are ways to "Find out", but... I'm using the falken wildpeak at3 P265/75R16 116T and running 30PSI for road. I was told that it should be more like 40PSI and about 25 PSI for places like Pilot rock. Can people chime in on their road PSI vs Off-road PSI. This is more in general terms, i understand each situation is different. P rated tire, not E

36-38 for road has been working for me.

OR I don’t have a ton of experience with on these tires, 25 seems a little high, should be fine lower if the terrain warrants it.

    So just to revisit.

I ended up doing 37 for road and 18 off-road and may try 15 next time.

I ordered these tires (SL) around July 2020. Three came from the USA and one came from Thailand which was interesting. Since then I've put nearly 30k on them and they have performed great in all conditions but I'm disappointed with the tread life. They look like they probably have less than 10k miles left. I don't think they are going to take me to 55k let alone 40.

I did notice something interesting though, the USA made tires all wore down real quick in the middle and the Thai tire is very evenly worn and looks like it would last me another 15k! Different compound maybe?

Has anyone else noticed this? If I bought these tires again I would want to be sure they all came from Thailand. Which I hate to say cause I would rather buy a USA made product but not if it's inferior.

    It's not "P-rated"/P-metric; it's a euro-metric.
27 is the adjusted recommended psi.
@ 36 psi, you obtain the max load carrying capability of the tire; anything over is to maintain speed rating.

    Yes

They are covered till 55k so you should get a credit. I got 35k out of mine and got a $300 credit to my next set so I bought another (credit hood for any tires in the shop).

How would I go about that? I got them off Amazon. Am I screwed? They were from Falken on Amazon, never registered them or anything.

I put a set of 265/70r17s on my wife's 4runner in Jan. 2020. Paid $117.00/tire at Walmart. They've got a little over 24,000 miles on them and they are toast. At $207 per tire now, there's no way I'm putting another set on. I'd bite at $117, but $207 is robbery.

That’s a good question, I purchased from Discount so it was an easy swap out and they had them in stock. I had purchased that set for about $540, got $300 back an the performance was great….. with 20k on the second set it looks like they may be headed the same direction, but I probably won’t get them for round 3 if it keeps up.

Crazy they want to warranty these to 55k if people are consistently getting under 40k on them.

Although I can not make any promises as we were not the original retailer, We may be able to help out since the tread wear warranty is through the manufacturer and not Amazon. PM headed your way.

@minium Thank you for your business!

So have these tires basically doubled in price since they came out?!?!

Buddy at work was raving about these right when they came out. Think he paid under $600 for a set of 265/75r16s.

I’m up for a new set of tires and just checked and 285/75r16s are $1300!

I had two sets got about 60k miles out of each, just replaced them with a less aggressive tire since my needs changed.

I'm wondering the same thing. I just had same falkens put on and installer set them to 30 psi all around. I saw on another thread people setting them to lower end of the 30s. In this thread it looks like most are in the 30s somewhere for daily driving. Would be nice to find a calculator of sorts.

When I bought mine and had them installed from DT, they filled them to the tacoma manufacturer pressure range of 32 psi. I inflated them to 37 cold. I was able to maintain at least 1mpg better averaged out. Ride is slightly harsher but I don't mind. It's not my daily.

Sounds promising....I would take another mpg. I'll probably creep up a bit toward mid 30's.
