I've ran KO2s,KOs,trail grapplers, AT3Ws,ST Maxx, and now Ridge grapplers. AT3Ws were the best value, only other tire I liked more was the ST Maxx. I'm currently using the ridge grapplers and have no complaints, except they cost about 60 more a tire than the Falkens.

I hear ya but I've made it through this winter so far with the crappy stock all-season highway tires and 4WD. I figure even the worst all-terrain is a huge upgrade from what i'm currently running. Besides both of these are three peak rated.

Also condo life means I don't really have the space for a second set of tires. Just looking for a "one and done" solution.

I’m trying to decide between the ATM or the At3W, they are about the same price where I am. I’m just going to be running them in the summer, I have winters on Steelies , what would you suggest ?? My off-roading is woods roads and gravel at the most !

Considering someone bumped this thread I guess I should update: I ended up with KO2s in 265/70/17.

Good call. A tougher tire for sure.

I like the AT3’s, but they are a mid level tire so the road balance could be better for highway driving. I beat the heck out of them on the trails so I think you would be fine there. Once I regear I may consider getting a better tire, but until then they have worked just fine so far

Good to know, I like the look of the AT3W’s more for sure, there $199 locally vs $182 for the ATM.

I’m thinking I’ll go with the At3’s, the ATM’s defiantly suit me better but I really want the Falkens!

I recently sold my stock goodyear kevlars and bought some hankook atm’s that were new takeoffs off a frontier. They are much smoother and more quiet than the goodyears... great deal too! Paid 400 for the hankooks, then sold kevlars for 200...so 200 for an almost brand new set!
Come hunting season/winter my duratracs with trailteam rims go back on, but for summer I’m loving the hankooks.

I went from stock Bridgestone Dueler H/T to Hankook ATM's. I don't offroad, but see a decent amount of dirt/gravel roads that can get muddy... plus I like the aggressive look. They're very smooth, no difference in road noise or comfort going from an HT to an AT tire. Also, no dip in gas mileage. I've had them for about 8k and I'm very happy with them.

I considered the Falkens too, but around here they were more expensive than the Hankooks.

I am putting a new set of the Hankook ATMs on my truck tomorrow. Ive been told they are a lighter all terrain tire that wont effect fuel mileage much. Im looking forward to seeing them on the truck!

My biggest gripe with atms is their rain “performance”.. straight dangerous

This pretty much seals the deal for me right here, I hydroplaned my 2nd Gen and rolled it. So Falkens are in the books for me.

Falkens are insanely good in the rain. 2nd to only duratracs in all the tires I have had. I’m between falkens again in 285s or duratracs in 285s for my next set. Currently have falkens on the taco and duratracs on the t4r and both are a fantastic tire. Falkens are way cheaper though.

I’ve had both. Hankooks on a 2000 Cherokee. Not great in the snow but fine in the summer. Off road they are adequate. They last a long time. I don’t ride through much mud. Falkens on the Tacoma. Very good in the snow and seem fine on the road. I like the falkens better.

Thanks for all the input, gonna order the Falkens Monday ! Found out this evening my dad has them on his service truck and took a look at them, first time I seen them in person. Much nicer looking tire then the Hankooks! Can't wait to get them on.
