    Guess I'll chime in here...

Running 285/70 C-rated AT3s and have been driving in awful conditions the last few weeks.

deep snow: pretty solid, although from a stop I can spin the rears really easily to the point of possibly getting stuck in < 1' of snow
compact snow/ice: pretty terrible. I don't know what good looks like on such a wide tire on 4x4 but thus far they have not inspired confidence at all.

Off road in the summer, these tires are awesome - I can fly over anything. But floating on snow/ice does not feel good.

I used to have Open country AT2 and ran those for a full 55k miles. I got Falken AT3 2 years ago and definitely noticed the difference. Both tires I got 265/70/17 P rated tire. I live in CT so we get all kinds of weather, especially during the winter.

Toyos: Terrible starting from a standstill on a wet road (spring/summer rain, snow melt, light snow)
Good grip when driving in the snow but not super confident at reduced highway speeds during significant snowfall

Falken: great wet road traction, especially braking
    Quieter road noise
I really like these in the snow especially at reduced highway speeds during heavy snowfall. They have less road drift from packed snow.

I just did 1800 miles in winter snow/ice sonditions to Montana and back, 6' of snow was the deepest overnight dump. I drove my Prius with a new set of Blizzaks and left my Tacoma with the Falkens in the greage. MFP does better on packed snow/ice than the Tacoma, way better.
