I decided against the KO2 with the environment I live in. In Victoria Canada it rains and I drive to the ski mountain several times a year. The KO2 I hear are loud and not suitable for rainy icy environment.

I'm trying to decide whether to get the Yokohama geolander or the falken wildpeak. Im not planning on using off road. However I love the aggressive look. Problem is that every tire dealership one goes to has their opinion and tries to sell you their product.

I would probably put 265/70r17 on my trd pro rims.

    Thanks

K02's aren't loud but I won't have another set. Just put some Falken's on mine and so far I like them but they are a little loud.

I live in the same type of climate and I'm actually looking at the Duratecs. Some reviews I read on the KO2s with wet/slush roads match your concerns as well.

I have KO2's and they certainly aren't loud. They lack traction in the rain, but all AT or MT tires will. Falkens and Geolanders will definitely be louder. @Jasonstacoma has the Geolanders and he reported that they were terrible in the rain. We're in the PNW as well. I think the Falkens are probably the best all round tire... but every tire will have their limitations.

I have KO2s and never had an issue in the rain, maybe if you drive like a nut job you could have issues.
Out of the 2 tires the G015 comes in a C load 6 ply at 41 lbs and the Falken comes in SL 4 ply at 46.5 lbs in 265 70 17
I’d go with the Falkens out of those 2 choices.
They look better than the G015.
Not that you want it but the KO2 is 45 lbs with 6 ply

I've had both, wildpeaks are way better than the ko2s in the rain.

    allegedly.

You can't get them in Canada until the spring/summer, but I just ordered the new Toyo AT3s online and getting them shipped. Basically the same boat as you (Okanagan).

Had Duratrac's before and the were amazing in the winter brand new, but after the 3rd season and a bit worn down, they started to get scary and loud...

I also live in Victoria and have ran Ko2s on my truck for the past couple years and they’ve been fine. They’re not loud and as long as you don’t drive like a maniac in the rain, they’ll be alright. I haven’t had any issues, although I’ll probably be moving to the Geolandar MTs for my next tires.

I would not recommend the Yokohama’s, they are on my Silverado(came with them). They look ok new but the siping wears quickly in the middle tread and they become ice skates on rain/snow.

I have KO2’s currently and will move to the Nitto RG’s or Trail this winter. Not happy with the wear and tear on the KO2’s in just 2+ years for the price paid.

    I have goodyear duratracs 265 75 16 load range C with 5,000 miles

So far, they are great. Ive had them in all conditions and they did well. Minimal with ice/slush though. My father runs them on his jeep and he loves them (lives in mountains of Washington where it snows/ice is present) he's the reason I looked into and got a set.

The price with certs didn't hurt either

I live in the PNW and I have I had great luck with the Wildpeak AT3W tires. They grip really well on wet roads and I did not notice any louder than normal noise issues vs other traction tires. I currently have Duratrack tires because I wanted to try something different and I wanted just a touch more open tread without going to a mud tire. I can tell you that Duratrack tires do not get good grip on wet roads. Wildpeak tires are substantially better on wet roads. My next set of tires will be Wildpeak for sure!
