A groover is the toilet! Haha More of a river term but comes from pooping in a 20mil and the lines or “grooves” left on your rear! Sounds like a great trip out there! Have fun!

I have an extra set of ball joints and an axle, and I'm also an EMT and an Army Combat Lifesaver.

    Sweet!!
Oh, pack a brake line and the lbj bolts with that. Everytime I've had to fix them on the trail the bolts are always missing or sheared and the brake line is ripped.

Either way. I think we'll be good

My plan is to install new ball joints with bolts, new gusseted spindles with new hubs and bearings and new S/S brake lines.
I will pack the old ball joints and old S/S brake lines for trail repairs. I am also packing some extra u-joints and a spare front axle.
I mounted a Front Runner dual jerry can mount on my roof rack for spare fuel. I'll keep my water on the rear swingout.

Definitely an awesome trip, incredibly excited!

Yeah, as others have said, this group is extremely prepared. Easily the most prepared group of fellas I have ever traveled with. I too carry a satellite phone, two fire extinguishers, a crapper with bags, the whole nine.

Truck barely surpassed 10,000 miles as well, so little worries in the reliability department.

Same...perfectly happy with my current tire size, with no plans to change it.

Are you running a 265 75 16? That's actually a really good all around tire size in my opinion. With good armor and picking good lines you can go just about anywhere.

Yes on the Taco. I'm happy with them, its my traveling rig so it stays a pretty mellow build on purpose

Nothing of any importance for this upcoming trip, but @Sixthelement is off to pick up his GFC, which is building my excitement for this trip. So, I decided to share some pictures of last years trip just because.

Excited for these two trucks to be out on the trail together again:

Hoping for some beautiful sunsets like this one:

Always excited to try something crazy:

Hopefully there aren't any very tricky sections of trail:

    Let's stuff some 35's:

    That's enough for now.
