Fall Camp & Ride (Oct. 20-22, 2017)

I'm afraid of Hardrock. Every time I go it viciously attacks my wallet.

That aside, it's also not 2WD friendly. Brian and I looked high and low for an alternative to Citrus, but we came up dry. Everywhere else we looked at was either not challenging enough (ONF), too much mud, not enough technical (Richloam, Osceola), not big enough (Hardrock, Lazy Springs), or not 2wd friendly (Hardrock, Richloam, Osceola).

I also need to say as of now, it's still business as usual at the Holder Mine Campground. No reservations required and the Withlacoochee Visitors Center doesn't have any idea on when (or if) it might be implemented. Brian is monitoring the situation for any changes.

Can we do a car show type of thing one night? I feel like all the past ones did not feel like meet ups. Everyone stayed in their little groups. Let's have one afternoon and line all the trucks up somewhere and actually interact

 

I went to citrus Sunday, trail 16 is graded and barbwired up. Everything else was good.

 

So they closed the Slip'n'Slide? Bummer, that was kinda fun and the Hardcore group missed it back in February since some how all three groups managed to converge on it at the same time, haha.

Well that takes out anything challenging so new place it is!

 

I'm down. It was a bummer. It was basically all dry last month when we were they, now it's flat.

I don't know if I'll still be here, looking more lime i won't be and I have no idea how my schedule is going to be for the first 6 month's so I can't say if I'll be able to make it down or not. Time will tell

Guess I can always pretend I have no idea who Dom is.

 

All you have to do is wait till the second day and reintroduce yourself and say " glad you made it, I'm lee"

 

Haha, I guess we can't all be old, short, bald, fat guys with big gray beards driving one of the most easily recognizable 1st gens in Florida Tacomas.
