    Would anyone happen to have an SWR reader and be willing to help a bro tune his new CB setup at the meet? Trying to get everything set up beforehand, but this is my first time doing a setup and if I can save money by not buying a reader I'm down :rofl:

    Sweet! Maybe I'll just wait to tune it then. Side note, I have everything wired up and pulled into a parking garage (of course, totally forgot I had the whip up) and whacked it real good. Cracked the fiberglass and exposed a tiny portion of the copper wire inside. Think it'd still be fine of should I just buy another one?


    To clarify, I'm looking for someone who will have a SWR meter, not just a CB setup haha

    I got the Cobra 19 Ultra III. Mainly because I got it for $5 but it also fits in my ashtray location.

    Once they are tuned they are usually good for the duration, if your antenna gets smacked around enough on trees and such I guess it's not a bad idea to check it annually, the meters are pretty cheap on Amazon, I believe mine was like $15

    Ayup, I'm good. Just had had no power and TECO was saying it would be out for a week so I had to get Mom out of the heat. We hauled anchor and went up to my aunt's house in the mountains of northern VA. She was supposed to have gone up there for a big family reunion last Saturday anyway, but her flight got cancelled for obvious reasons. I didn't have cell signal up there and didn't remember my email and TW passwords so had no way to log on to check in. I really appreciate the concern. :hattip:

    Just got back today at about 10:30. Still have some work to do getting the house squared away, so it might be a couple days, but I'll resume my administrative duties soon. :thumbsup:
