lower 2024 Tacoma pricing. And don't forget the "Fed" wants to keep tightening so car loan rates are going to be higher this year and next. Be patient Tacoma buyers because Toyota will soon come out with 2024 pricing way below expectations. Enough Said.

I'm waiting for the XC 4x4 manual SR SX in Oxide Brown. Probably be a minimum of $40k if Toyota ever build it.

No they wont, they aren't dumb there will be a line of customers that must have the latest and greatest, if anything they will tailor production numbers and trims. Keep kidding yourself.

Careful for what you ask for. Lower prices for new means devaluing old. Most of us have a Gen2 or 3 that are interested in a possible purchase.
Also, the interest rate is going to be a BIG DEAL. Tundra is around 9.6% which is out of control. If I can't get it under 5%, I'll keep on trucking in my 22.

I have a '16 trd sport with 65,000 miles on it. First opportunity I have to order a trd pro I will especially if I can get the seats in black although if I can get that front bed rack off the trailhunter I may go for that interior instead. Bought the '16 kind of same way. First year didn't care.

Sure wish you could deal with reality. But alas some posters can't see the forest for the trees. Suggest you put on your "reading glasses" and digest the following. You might actually learn something.

U.S. car/truck market has shifted into lower gear in only a matter of months. After average car prices hit record highs as recently as last summer, some analysts now predict that an oversupply of vehicles will lead to a price war that sends prices plummeting. Plummeting mhtacoma. Can you deal with it ????

Son - your post is sadly a day late and a dollar short. This is what's coming and it's coming fast.

Given the bullish production schedules, we see high risk of overproduction and growing pricing pressure as a result,” UBS said in a note to clients. “The price war has already started unfolding in the EV space, and we expect it to spread into the combustion engine segment [during the second half of 2023].”

Makers of family cars and trucks are most likely to suffer from price cuts, the analysts said, while luxury carmakers are expected to hold up better.

    Let the Price Wars Begin.

First off I’m not your “son.” Toyota has never operated on a overproduction model or massive discounts, even when Tacoma was a stale unchanged generation and everyone was headed to fuel saving cars. Are the days of ADM and MSRP over, maybe, but massive discounting has never been Toyota, I see that for sure for the big domestics, just look at the discounts and special APR you’re seeing on F150 and The GM twins. But Tacoma, keep on dreaming, especially a hot new model.

Once the people in Maui get the important things taken care of. How many new Tacomas do you think will be purchased there?[IMG]

Right, for sure see ADMs on new pros and trialhunters in markets like CA for quite some time. Our neighbors just sold their house for $695k (same house was bought for $380k in 2016 and we live in damn AL) in a week even with 7% mortgage rates. People are people, gotta have it no different with vehicles, both are always the status symbol for the Jones’ despite inflation. I have friends in vehicle finance and mortgage, you’d be surprised how many people are over leveraged.

Hmmm - important things to take care of will take one to two years, if not longer. Lahaina might not be rebuilt. Kāʻanapali beach shut down in three years due to beach erosion. Big resorts not coming back. Who gives a rat's ass regarding future Tacoma purchases in Maui???

Deal with what? New or used plummeting? Is what it is. I don't finance but I won't pay a giant dealer markup either so I guess I will wait and see what happens.

EV losses are obviously increasing petrol vehicle sales. Ford lost 4 billion this Q in EVs. Have to make up for lost coin somehow.
Expect pricing to be about 5% higher I would assume.

Anyhow. I dig the Trailhunter a lot. Love the interior. But - hopefully there is a snorkel free version. Looks dumb. But - not sure I'd pay 50K for Tacoma. Just not enough vehicle for that money. We shall see.

People there still need to replace their trucks and they willprobably choose Tacomas.

That's clearly a Ford Lightning so maybe not.

As of tomorrow UAW contracts expire in 30 days. Lots of US production could end up moving to Mexico. That will disrupt production, and there will be no lower costs interim, or moving forward. Tacoma costs have seen an increase since all production moved to Mexico.
