Anybody use the laser gatling ?

 

I don't wait for purified water really , whenever I finish a quest and I want more money I just fast travel to 3 or 4 settlements go to the workshop > aid and take all the excess food and water plus my settlements with stores in them produce bottlecaps usually 150-200

Trade that for caps , ammo , shipments of x , whatever

 

That's fair. I find it hard to buy a shipment of Aluminum or a shipment of oil and copper though without a significant haul. Both of those cost well over 1000 caps. On a side note I just figured out the swamp settlement can have water purifiers in that tiny little misty pond. I have it producing 300 water easy.

 

So, I get a mission to go clean out some a-holes. Here


I'm poking around, and waaaay down in the back, well past the named and after getting the 'idiots cleared' all clear message, I happen across this

So, being the inquisitive sort, I continue. I find a door that's chained and barred shut, plus locked. Odd. I go a ways back into the darkness, past a bunch of trapped ghouls.

There's a long tunnel, and at the end is four 'named' ghouls. One of them has a tape on him:


It talks about how "they've called a meeting at station four, but nobody knows anything. If any of them arrive before we get there, stall them. Just don't say anything and you'll be rewarded!"

Odd, that they're all specifically named (first and last) and this tiny little tunnel at the ass end of a quarry is where they were locked up and imprisoned.

So, as my curiousity is piqued now, I start really looking around. There's a hole...maybe 6 feet across...full to the brim with water. It's straight down, like a drilled hole. Quicksave, DIVE!

So I swim down a ways, find a bunch of metal gunk and trash, and a hard to see side passage. When you go in that passage, it opens up into a cave....with an altar.


ON the altar, flanked on either side by a couple of mini-nukes, is this:


Fun find, hidden the way it was!

By the time I got back out, I was a 20% health as the run-out-of-oxygen demon was tickling my nards, and 40% of my life bar was radded red. Still, nice if you're lookin for a melee weapon!

 

My Son gave me a PS4 for Christmas and his girlfriend gave me Fallout 4. I started this weekend. Found power armor near a plane crash. How do you repair the armor? I've taken it to a repair station, but it won't let me repair it. I'm a mere level 3. Am I too low of a level to repair?

You need perks like armorer, for starters. Plus you have to have the materials in that settlement's workbench storage to perform the repairs....so if you have no raw steel there, the repair option is greyed out.

 

Thanks. I have plenty of steel 85 pieces. I bet it is the perk. I'll look to upgrade the perk on the next chance.

 

I found all but one of the arms (right I think) and helmet on a Gunner Captain at Hub City Auto Wreckers. I bought the arm at the weapons dealer in Vault 81 for some ridiculous amount, like 8000 caps.

I found the full set at the military relief station. South of Diamond City iirc. You'll have to hack the terminal to open the magnetic gate.

 

Its crazy, I'm level 57, discovered 300+ locations, have rifles that do over 200 damage per shot, can take down a behemoth in seconds, and I have still yet to see heavy combat armor.

 

Did you figure out a way past that door? I couldn't figure it out. I'll have to dive down there for that sword!

 

Wow! I only have 3 and a frame with mismatch parts.

 

I have a ton of power armor but only 4 frames. So I have one full x01 mkvi, one full t45f, one full t60f, and then one that's miscellaneous leftover BoS and raider power armor

 

I got 2 pieces from the guy in the church where Tessa was

 

I have 5 sets

 

Ahh. Cool. I just have those three full sets of T-45f, X-01 Mk. VI, and T-51f. I'll probably just wait until I do the BOS missions to get the T-60.

 

I haven't found the t51 yet

 

I can't remember where I got it, but I know it was a full set and it was at the front of a half submerged shipping crate or trailer in a lake.
