You can assign settlers to whatever bed you want them to use

Its much more fun to slay them.

But you're right, once I discovered you can assign settlers to a bed I stopped having that issue.

I thought hacking matches were just letters in the word , no wonder there were passwords that seemed to have no correct password ~

    Hack Like a Pro

"The animation at the start of a terminal session is pretty long, but you can skip it by tapping the action button. Once the potential passwords are in front of you, look out for any letters or patterns that repeat themselves a few times: these are a good way to make an initial educated guess. Here’s the key thing the game doesn’t explain very well: The number of “matched” letters aren’t just in the word, they’re in that place in the word. "

Little tip I do for easy hacking:
Rule out the duds or false passwords by looking for coding that starts with an opening to a closing {}, [], <>, ()
Some terminals will have more and some will have a few, this makes guessing easier and hence why I don't need to save every time before I hack.
Also some coding will have double or triple duds for example (($&;?,) <- you can hit the first pair of parentheses and then the next one to rule out two duds. The terminals will highlight these guesses and won't count against your guesses.

Also as opposed to previous fallouts, this game allows you to try again after 10 seconds, instead of permanently locking you out of the terminal (unless you get the special perk to get back in: fallout 3 and new vegas only)

Hacking is pretty easy now. Sometimes I don't even try I just guess until it locks me out, wait and try to guess again. Lol
In the old games I used to use all but one attempt and then back out of the terminal and start again fresh til I got it.

On the subject of hacking, am I the only one who has the hardest time with novice terminals? I can almost always get a master terminal in 2 tries, but I've just given up completely on novice ones before. I also break the most bobby pins on novice locks. On master I almost never break em.

I saw you also play on PC. Have you been getting random screen flicker with a small white rectangular box in the lower right corner? It appears in a flash and then video is restored. I'm playing on Ultra/Max settings. I'm using around 6-7 mods but this was happening before I ever started modding.

    Nope

I loaded my very first and only mod last night (unlocking settlement size) and have had zero graphical glitches going back to install.

My only issues have been the stupidity of the settlers & the poor AI pathing code, not anything on the tech side.

I never noticed graphics issues until last night when I noticed some artifacts/glitching here and there. Then I discovered for some reason my computer no longer recognizes my second GPU for some reason. It had been almost two weeks since I turned my computer on so Idk what's going on.

    I'm playing on ultra settings.

How do you like the de limiting of the settlement size? Any issues?

Jesus Christo the AI pathing is infuriating at times. Most of the time I can lobotomize myself to game quirks but sometimes I can't help but mutter "GD"to myself.

Reboot your PC....I mean cold start that bad boy....at least once a week, and that's the absolute minimum.

Windows needs fresh booting more often for both performance and efficiency. It's been this way since 9x, it's this way with 7/8/10, and I see no reason to think it will change any time soon.

Plus, run a Cclean and a defrag/trim on your drives every so often. It doesn't take long, and it really does make a difference.

I've only just now started fussing with the delimited settlements. I'll have to get back to you as the weekend goes on and I have some time to play. I'll let you know.
