    ***MAJOR SPOILERS : INSTITUTE***
if you side with the institute, you get a quest called Plugging a Leak.
You basically find out that a guy from the inside is helping synths escape.
You have two choices. One, to turn that person in and kill the other person helping. Or Two, help them and blame it on Justin Ayo. To my understanding, Justin Ayo is a bit of a dick. However I want to keep the institute how Father would have. So what would he have done? I'm guessing he would've sided with Justin but it seems like the whole rest of the institute hates him because of him basically spying on everyone. So... Would Father have sided with Justin or the rest of the scientists?

    I sorta do both

I carry Deliverer, the poison combat shotty I linked a couple pages back, my .50 Snipe, and a modded lazer rifle just for setting shit on fire. Despite using the snot out of them in previous FO games, I can't get into grenades and mines in this one, for some reason.

When I 'go out in the field', if I'm carrying over 120 or so, I look to find out why. My overall limit is like 270 or 280, and I use the SHIT out of Dogmeat as my extra man-purse

I basically go out with Dogmeat unloaded except for his Dog Armor and come back with as much shit as we both can carry

How are you at a 120 weight ? No armour ?

Ya I hate the explosives in this game. I liked em I the previous games. I can't get used to the physics of throwing a grenade in this game

I actually like mines and grenades way better in this game with their ease of use. Got an enemy running at you? Just chug a mine and there goes their legs. If you have explosives 2 perk your grenades gain a throwing arc opposed to just lobbing them.

And @OZ-T I just bought the special launcher, partystarter, the other day which does 50% more against humans. I let mccready use it during the finale of the silver shroud and he killed everyone with ease as I saved Kent from dying.

Also strong carries probably twice as much as dogmeat if you like to use a companion as a lackey.

I haven't done the Silver Shroud or met McCready yet

I have had good luck with mines , I use frag mines a lot if I need to secure a hallway or approach to my position while I'm fighting in a different direction and the pulse mines and pulse greanades are great against robots

I noticed I don't have the concrete pillar option, was that an add on for the game you bought?

    Yea you do.

Its under structures -> wooden -> floors -> if I recall correctly. It's one of the two shack foundations, and it's concrete that you can sink into the ground and use to snap to. Is awesomesauce.

Shack foundation has a wood floor on top so stuff will snap to it's sides

Yeah , to stack a column I set a shack foundation block , snap a floor stair section to the side of it so it goes from the height of the top of the shack foundation block and up , then snap a shack foundation block to that , stacked on the first foundation block , the tall stair sections that have a small landing top and bottom will spiral around the shack foundation pillar .

Build the stairs on your way up , spiralling around the core and repeat the process to stack the core blocks . You can then snap floors at any one of the core tops at every level to build a platform around the core pillar

    *shrug*

I have Armorer 3/4, and went Deep Pocketed on all the pieces (weight reducing carried stuff) plus I carry very little spare stuff. Only the weaps and ammo I know I'll use and some stims/radaways.

So, here's the start of the new home (view is from the lil trailerhome shack with the workbench and circuit breaker in it)

On Spectacle Island. The walled/covered floors are 7 x 7. Wind turbines for quiet power across the roof, gazillions of turrets on the ground and lower floor.

Only way in is fast travel. The way out is a one-way drop about two stories down...about as far an an un-armored human can fall without damage. Plus, the walls supporting the lower turrets and protecting LoS on the floor opening are also a trap. Unless you can open the world builder toolset, you can only fall into a pit. You actually have to JUMP out of the floor hole at just the right angle to land on the ledge, otherwise you're stuck.

Working on the wiring tomorrow. Starting to get heavy eyes lol

    newhome_zpstepsoza4_08a421f072fe8a9b3540babe045b2e4648e365ea.jpg

Actually, looking at it as I post this...I think I'll make the second walled floor a half open one with railing/fences, and replace a walled level by capping off the next open one above.

Are wind turbines a stock crafting item ? I don't think I've seen them
