IDK what you guys are talking about but give a settler a gun and 1 ammo for it and they have unlimited ammo , not sure if its the same for companions , anybody figure that out yet ?

Heh. It took me three trips through Mass Fusion to get all the loot out after getting the beryllium vibrator or whatever its called. Those T-60b Brotherhood suit pieces are *heavy*

Just built my 10 story tall concrete tower in the ocean off of Spectacle Island last night , connected to shore with the piling bridges

 

I started mine a few days ago, but I haven't finished it. It has all 10 stories this time, but most of it is missing walls.

 

I built a 10 story tower of concrete blocks with the shack stairs spiraling around all the way up , the top floor is open with just a railing right now , 2 stories below that the floor is 2 1/2 floor panels wide all the way around with the 1/2 floor shack walls outside of that all the way around and a roof over that whole section , I'm going to move all my settler beds to that level just trying to decide where to plant my crops / secure a farming area on the island

 

I copied your concrete/spiral stairs idea. My first 2 floors are 3x3, the rest are 6x6 iirc and the top floor is 3x3. Only a few floors have walls. The 4th floor has a catwalk over to the pile of shipping crates and another to the 2 story house

 

I almost died a bunch of times trying to stack those damn blocks lol

 

Two words. Power armor. Oh and maybe the jet pack too

 

I didn't have power armor with me at the time and I haven't got the jet pack yet

 

That reminds me , last night I had another settlement , Warwick Homestead , turn on me and start attacking me after we repelled some raiders but this time I'm certain I didn't kill or hurt any of my settlers . I was stripping a raider and picked up his body to chuck in the ocean and as soon as I picked up the body the settlers started shooting at me

Are they attacking me because I have Deacon with me and he's just annoying them so much ?

 

Fresh observations:

Strong cannot wear power armor either. Point him at it and he says "Can't do that"

Also, while you can mod dropped armor pieces and give them to a settler or companion to use, you cannot mod super mutant armors

 

Without going into detail, they may have turned on you because of Deacon. I'd load a previous save and try to back without Deacon.

 

I wondered about that , he's already told me about his origins
