If you want an easy over 100 gun get a .44 revolver. Mine does 268 fully modded. Can't hit the broad side of a barn half the time though.

 

I only have 1 scoped gun, maybe it works better with those. I just prefer iron sights.

 

So I restarted again. I've gone all three main storylines, so this time I'll hop on the Railroad just long enough to get Deliver and Ballistic Weave, then do the max settlement gig, and work on side quests and collecting shit (all skill magazines, for instance). This will be my last 'first run' playthough I think, then it'll be break time from Fallout 4 (since I've played it nonstop from release to now) and go some Civvin' , some EQ time, etc

Something you might have overlooked, and this one pisses me off a bit.

The first Red Rocket....the one with the mole rat cave under it? All the way in the back at the last cubbyhole is a lil puddle of dirty water. There is a teddy bear there, and you cannot get him out. I have a thing for teddy bears in this game for some odd reason, and I spent almost 10 minutes trying to get him to come up as targetable.


Then, as I was cleaning up Sanctuary, the graphics bugged and the welding goggles I gave Dogmeat started being displayed as a hardhat


I took that as a sign it was time to end my session for the evening

 

My Gauss is 300 IIRC

 

With the Deliverer @ the Railroad , what is that , a weapon ?

Do you have to aquire it in different parts and assemble it because I noticed Tinker Tom had some parts but I didn't know what they were or did so I didn't barter for them

 

It's a 10mm silenced pistol. I don't recall where I got it. But it doesnt look like the typical 10mm pistol. It looks like a Walter PPK like James Bond uses and it does pretty good damage.

 

Deliverer is a 10mm pistol that is SERIOUSLY overpowered. Has an AP bonus that will literally let you fire 13-15 times per round (silenced!) with insane crits at later levels

It's one of the first rewards in the Railroad series of quests, where you clean out the Switchboard 'safehouse' that has been taken over by synths. It's a tough slog to do if you happen to try it ...say...in the teens of levels.

But holy balls....get Deliverer in your early days and max out pistol damage/ninja/sneak bonus and it's a first strike murder machine.....like as in "You snuck up on a legendary alpha deathclaw? Half a turn kill"

 

Did you get the Last Minute Gauss Rifle from the Castle? Iirc it does a little more than 300 dmg

 

Oh , I think I already have that , I'll have to check my workshop in Samctuary

Do you know if the Gauss is rated for it's maximum charge or for it's quick shot?

 

I haven't even tried the max charge. I forgot how to lol

 

I stopped using it on my other game because it didn't seem as powerful as my plasma rifle. Then again, I could crack of 3-4 shots from the plasma rifle in the time it took to charge up a partial shot from the gauss rifle. My plasma rifle did 240ish damage.

How do you charge it?

 

I wonder what the ratio is between a quick shot and max charge.

 

You charge it by holding the trigger button to charge , release to fire

PS you were right about the combat rifle doing more damage in .308 than .45 , changed that up tonight

I would guess the 0-99 number indicator is a % of total damage

 

So I completed the Stockton Caravan / Covenant side quest tonight , saved the girl , made enemies of the Covenant citizens , sent Piper back to Sanctuary , killed all the Covenant dwellers , took over the workshop and added Covenant as a settlement , went back to Sanctuary for the rumpy bumpy perk with Piper

Overall a successful evening
