Your settlement happiness goes up no matter what size bar you build

My bar is at the front of the curved window diner area , if you were the bartender standing behind it , you are facing the pond in the centre of the settlement

 

For whatever reason when I upgraded bars my happiness significantly increased. I tried and could never fit any bar inside there, as I tried to do the same as you.

 

I think as you build the larger options of each shop type you get a larger bonus towards happiness but even the base size of the bar , clothing and trader shops add happiness , weapons and armor do not

 

It took me about 5 minutes to finally get it to fit . There is a pile of debris on the floor inside that seems to want to lift the bar and I think that causes it to hit the ceiling , I finally got it to stay green by kinda looking down with the player view as I moved the bar forward and it stayed green as it moved through the debris pile

 

Yeah that's what I initially meant. Still trying to get that 100% settlement trophy. I figured I could put at least a tier 1 bar there but never could find the right angle.
Have you ever put two types of a store in a settlement?

 

2 sizes of the same type of store or 2 different types of stores ?

Because I have a Bar , Trader , Clothing , Armor , Weapons and Clinic at Starlight

 

Oh I figured you had to fit it in sideways

At the island I have all three types of bars and medics because the discotheque needs plenty of booze and chems

 

I rerolled my character this morning. Max charisma (already enjoying pacifying and then shooting people in the face) although sometimes i click on codsworth which is annoying. Never played with any of the companions other than dogmeat last play, so its nice to see codsworth can kill stuff on his own. Also max intelligence, already useful with nerd rage and scrapper. Nerd rage really pays off since i have shit weapons on survival mode.

I had like a 94MB update this morning. Maybe the beta went live?

 

Yeah the patch went live to PC this morning , consoles get it later this week

 

What's the update?

 

I posted it awhile back.

It mainly fixed bugged quests, adjusted the workshop snappables, wire no longer costs copper, and some PC-only graphics things.

Interesting. I know the kill shot perk for me would always generate a 95% hit chance, even when an enemy walked behind a wall while in vats.
