I was wrong/mistaken, i got the mysterious syrum instead cause i let lorenzo kill everyone. Been a while since i did that mission

 

anyone want to provide some direction for me?

I started the game, 10 hours into it, im like lvl 10 just got to diamond city (Ive got some dudes back at my home place that live there now I guess (a guy in a cowboy hat was the leader), and ive done quite a bit of missions for the brotherhood in the old police station. I feel like my inventory is nothing but wpns and dont know which to get rid of and what to keep, I have 2 mechanical armor suits that both suck and I have no idea what im supposed to be doin in the game (other than find my son I guess?? haha) Anyone have some pointers?

I also feel like my armor sucks but I am having a hard time qualifying whats good or not since they all have roughly the same levels.

Youre playing fine. Just choose some weapons you like and use the weapon station to upgrade them, you need the gun nut perk.

For armor they all suck without upgrades. Get the armorer perk and upgrade items, then you can check your upgraded defense to new armors when you look to see what they will upgrade to.

 

Yeah. I waited for it to propt me to go see him, but the marker moves to a random spot every time I get to it haha

 

gun nut perk and armorer perk. do i have to do anything special to find these or will i get them eventually? thanks for the help

 

They are under different corresponding SPECIAL skills in the perk list when you level.

 

Handy as hell:

Go to weapon bench and an armor bench. Look at the upgrades that you would like to do to the weapons and armor you have. Down at the bottom of the screen you'll see a 'tag items for search' prompt.

This is crazy helpful.

What it does is...say you want to add a scope to your hunting rifle. If you don't have all the materials on hand to build and attach a scope, you can 'tag' all the items needed for that particular mod when you're out running around the commonwealth and looting shit.

That way, when you're clearing a target location of idiots, you'll see occasional loot with a little hourglass next to it. That item is needed for your scope, so loot it, but don't sell it at a vendor later!

Do this for all your mods to your guns, your armor, etc and managing your inventory gets a LOT easier.

Also a nice thing to keep in mind...

I use a 10-1 ratio for picking up random shit to lug around and eventually sell to a vendor for cash. The junk that isn't particularly valuable to scrap or anything else. Early in the game, your carry weight is pretty low, so if an item isn't worth 10x its weight in caps, I generally don't loot it unless I have a specific need.

Scrapper lvl 2 perk is awesome for this. It highlights items green if you need something from it when its tagged. Makes finding everything so easy.

I never sell any junk though, it all goes straight to my workshop.

 

Also another bug I've noticed today that I didn't get before the patch in my first play through but now in my second play through: MacCready said he's going to mark Med-Tec on my map, yet it's not marked and when I go to my quests and highlight Long Road Ahead and click square (show on map) it just shows my location which atm is sanctuary. I swear my game is way bigger post patch than pre patch

I have a Minuteman mission where I have to kill the ghouls at the Super Duper Mart and there is no tag at that location , even going there doesn't prompt anything to come up so that mission cannot be completed

 

Killing time farming for legendaries and looking forward to DLC content. I'm getting tired of the relentless tire irons, nocturnal walking canes and poisoners rolling pins......I haven't gotten anything actually decent in a long time.

 

I've pretty much determined the Legendary gear is almost all crap

I did the 'Defend the Constitution' tonight at level 59. I counted either 8 or 9 legendaries that popped in the waves and attacked. I ended up selling every single bit of every legendary drop I got today, not just in that fight.

 

So I'm not the only one with post patch bugs. I wonder if the Xbox and pc guys have any issues

 

Yeah legendary stuff is mostly crap, some is nice when you're low level. Some is great to level with like the snipers and deliverer etc

 

And of course the Overseers' Guardian!

 

Another irritating thing to me is that legendaries cant be broken down. You have no option but sell them.

And i still wish they would make it so you could craft any weapon style so long as you have broken one down to "learn" it or something. #ps4problems
