I assume that's down the perception tree and if it is, yes.
I have my perception, charisma, and intelligence maxed. Everything else except maybe STR is 7-8.

I also noticed The Slog population (40+ last I checked) is going crazy compared to my more developed settlements (Castle 25, Island 35)

Those ghouls must be banging it out like crazy.

Actually no...
1. No way i'm counting out 40 settlers. They walk all over the place even when I hit the bell.
2. I can only count to 36.

I just wont go there and pretend there's 40 settlers there. I feel better that way.

 

Any provisioners originating at that location count in the total too

 

Does anyone here actually have a problem with food and their settlers? I had a weird issue on this playthrough where it seemed like they all just wanted to eat Tato and nothing else. I like to craft starch for the XP and because it can be a bitch to find enough adhesive later in the game. It always seemed like, no matter how many Tato's I'd plant, I'd always have piles of the other ingredients but never any Tato's. Eventually I just took a large settlement I had and made them grow 20+ Tato for me on top of all the other Tato farms I had. That seems to have fixed the issue.

I just don't get why when I only have maybe 20 corn in total and maybe 50 muttfruit but at least a 100 tato why I run out of that all the time.

That's what I kept saying, that sniper is a load of garbage. But you have to take into account whatever you're trying to kill and its threshold. A .50 ballistic won't be as effective as a plasma rifle against a super mutant.

 

I need to rebuild a Plasma Rifle for myself for this game. The overseer's gaurdian was super OP for me up to level 40... and now I don't find it all that special. On my last play through with a maxed out Plasma Rifle I had no troubles blasting away just about anything well past level 40.

 

Damn I just started playing on my 1st play through again and my sniper rifle sucks after that new patch. It's used to never miss in vats and it was a single shot kill like 90% of the time, despite me being level 72. Also consider my sniper is the OG with .308

 

Oh dear god I forgot all about the Last Minute!! Mine does 384 dmg

They've come a LONG way. They've got a lot further to go, but they're pretty impressive, if still expensive. But even now in the infancy of the technology the prices are dropping and the tech is more and more available.
