I haven't gone after the Mechanist yet. I just built that brain a body and shut er off for now. I may pick it up later tonight. At the very least tomorrow.

It's a long slog. I think this expansion took me maybe about 4 hours. The robot crafting though is badass. Wait until you can basically craft yourself a sentry bot partner with a freaking laser beam for a head.

 

Sorry. I wasn't referring to the person you might be thinking of. Without giving away spoilers I was talking about someone who misunderstood their orders and was doing the opposite of what they were supposed to do. They had a "were better than you" attitude.

Can I do some of the Automatron missions without it effecting the outcome of the main story I haven't finished yet ?

 

At no point do I remember any of the automatron missions involving any faction so you should be good to go. However I know you've been doing a lot of missions for each faction outside of the main way to get the perfect ending. Depending on who you believe every faction mission has a slight effect on whether or not you can even get the perfect ending anymore. I'm wondering if, after all of your other missions, you might be close or past that point of no return for all three factions to stay happy or if automatron might have some minor effect somehow.

Who knows. If you do it and then don't get the perfect ending maybe leave a save point to see if it mattered.

All good. Just check around on Youtube though and you'll find that the results aren't consistent. One guy does an institute mission and he's fine. Another doesn't but does a railroad mission too early and all of a sudden he can't get the perfect ending. It's definitely more complicated to get the perfect ending then it has been with some other similar games.
