I haven't pursued any of the Automatron missions yet and just sent Ada to Starlight Theatre for now while I do a few BOS missions with Danse . I've basically gone as far as possible with the Minutemen , Railroad and the Institute without commiting to a faction , going to progress similarly with the BOS for now .

PS , I totally pillaged the Institute of every loose item they had while I did some radiant quests for them to build my affinity with x6-88 , tons of stuff with nuclear material and fibre optics

dont wanna post a spoiler but does anyone know if I defend the castle I have to side with Minutemen? Or can I still side with BOS after the mission

 

You will be fine, go ahead and do it. BOS doesn't have beef with the Minutemen

 

Big time crash for me last night , game crashed to the error report screen then went to the home screen and the console and controllers became totally unresponsive , tried everything to get some kind of response but ended up having to do a hard reboot with the dreaded unplug

Safe mode start up screen stayed at 99% for way too long and I knew something was up , corrupted my save data for my current Quicksave and Autosave but my 3rd save in line worked fine and I only lost about 20 minutes of play time but I was shitting bricks while I waited to see if I had destroyed my 350 hours of play

Yeah , I was like WTF for about 20 minutes

 

Yeah, this new patch is worse than the original game!

 

And the dlc is just "go there, shoot stuff, go here, shoot stuff"

 

Basically.

I was hoping they'd stick in a few more side missions as well but I haven't found any yet. At least there are more to come and it sounds like basically 1 per month for the next 2 months.

 

I like the robots being around as new enemies but I haven't done any of the DLC missions yet

Does Danse just not follow you around like the other companions or what ?

 

Regarding Danse and other companions, I don't know what you mean.

 

I never had Danse as a companion yet, so I can't answer that one

 

I asked Danse to join me as a companion and after the mission he fucked off and now he's not following me around anymore so I gotta go find him again

Any other companion has just stayed with me till I dismissed them

 

I thought some companions would unfollow you if you pissed them off enough?

Did you drop a deuce in his power armor or something maybe?

 

Nope , no dislikes , in fact I got a Danse Loved That before the mission

 

Was it the green sea mission in the super secret govt facility?

 

He left after the Vertibird assault on the Super Mutants at Fort Strong or something like that

 

Have you checked the prydwin or airport? Hell maybe even the Cambridge PD?

He only left for me after a certain mission in the green sea, but he told me he was going to remain there and hold it down until the BoS arrived and for me to go on.
