Same. I need to get my character built up before I try tackling it now. Been playing on very hard.

 

I figured out that listening to Radio Freedom does still give you Minuteman missions after you are finished the main story but I just had one glitch so I can't complete it and they only start 1 at a time so thats the end of that .

I'm just going to buy a shit tonne of wood and concrete shipments and spruce up my settlements until Far Harbor drops

 

Does Preston not continue to give them? He keeps giving me repeats right now mixed in with new settlements

You have to sleep, eat, drink water or else your stats start to go down. The more you are in combat, you get adrenaline, which I think increases XP but not sure yet. I use to carry a ton of ammo, cores, and like 6 different weapons. Now I carry three weapons, which 1000 rounds for each and about 6 cores. I have about 150 carry capacity left after that. Regular raiders have been giving me about 50 XP each. Snagged about 800 XP from a mythic death claw. Kind of makes the game hard, lol.

 

The ammo part doesn't bother me too much. I only carry a few guns anyways so I wouldn't need to carry every ammo. The sleeping and eating would get me cause I'd forget.

 

Yea, I will get over the ammo part but now I find myself scrounging for food and water since I dont normally carry aid items, except for stimpacks and rad-away. Only carry about 10 stimpacks and a couple rad-aways now though.

 

Just craft food when you kill a creature and eat it

 

So was playing around with my settlements tonight and discovered Boston Airport won't let you grow food , you can't even build a garden plot there , which makes no sense but I thought to myself " hey no problem , that settlement will just have to share food with the rest by way of my trade routes , and besides I just spent a couple hours building concrete foundation walls around the whole place and setting buildings , beds , water and power "

thats when I discovered you can't build a settlement beacon there , it doesn't appear in the build menu

Good news is the new concrete walls / floors / roof tool , the curved walls make cool turrets and the concrete walls all snap vertically as well

 

Hmm I haven't found that tool. I'll have to check it out. The fusion generator has changed my life though lol.

Anyone do much with the cages yet? How do you setup matches between your folks and monsters? Do you have to fence everything in or else the monsters go ape crazy on your settlement? I know about the beta wave emitter but do you use that to start the match and then turn it back on when the dust has settled or what?

 

Haven't played in awhile. Loaded up to see what the Wasteland Workshop added.

Game loaded my save in my tower on Spectacle Island. Took a step and fell about 15 stories to my death.

Looks like the newest patch screwed up a lot of my mods so I have 2 days to try and fix them all before Far Harbor.

I'm now a massive fan of the new concrete walls

I hadn't done anything at Nordhagen Beach , now I have a nice concrete wall around the 3 sides dead ending into the ocean with nice curved corners and round lookout "turrets" for my gaurd posts and entry gate

I put water purifiers in the ocean and they are protected by a ring of concrete walls around them and their dedicated generator

You can snap any wood wall to the face of a concrete wall which is cool too

 

that actually looks super nice. id hate having to find a body in all the grass though

Looks good. Hopefully some of the mods will be making their way soon to the consoles. PC definitely has the advantage on the mod side of things.

 

I decided I was only going to use the concrete building tool to build up my whole Nordhagen Beach settlement , my main settler bunkhouse is on concrete piers out at the edge of the water with a covered bar patio out over the waves lol

The concrete wall , floor and roof sections don't go together like wood ones , takes a bit of messing around to get it to work

 

The day is here... I wonder if it's ready to dl yet
