It just seemed to be where the conversation was going. Anyways, now that the new DLC is out though I'll probably move my Xbox to a working TV to play again.

 

Hmm I guess it's time to DL the new DLC. So is Nuka World included or just Vault Tec?

 

I totally forgot about this. I distract easily. Going to be a hot sum bitch this week so I will definitely be playing all week.

I downloaded the new DLC last night but am trying to finish my Coastal Cottage settlement build before I start with the new stuff

Anybody else stumble across the Message in a Bottle collectibles / quests ?

 

Hrmm. Doesn't ring any bells, off the top o' me head

 

I picked up a beer bottle on the beach behind the fish packing plant because I've been collecting all the glass I find for my greenhouse builds and it started a "Message in a Bottle" quest , apparently there is 5 or 6 of them around the map

 

Cool, I'll have to look for those. I'm a sucker for side quests.

Also, two thing about the new area, Vault 88. Just found 2 new rooms found only by scrapping your way through walls of rock. Behind the last one was


So...when you're cleaning up/scrapping around, check the walls and otherwise mundane looking dead-end nooks & crannies.

Second, the glowing green uranium in this same picture is scrappable for nuclear material, FYI.

 

Make that 3 new rooms, and a new type of scorp (at least I've never seen one of these type before)...ton of HP, hits like a truck, virulent poison attack, took me by surprise ....took 3 stims while kiting to kill

 

Don't get too excited for the Message in a Bottle quests , at least the one I found just leads you to a weapons / anmo stash in a steamer trunk

 

It looks like I wasn't far off. Not a new scorp type but a rare one


I was right about the HP tho...even more than a behemoth!

 

For those of you that are big into building settlements. How are you guys amassing all the materials? I have a water farm set up and produce 240 every 24/hrs, then purchase all the basic materials that are purchasable. The rest do you actually scavenge for?

 

I buy shipments of " whatever " and also pick up anything I can carry while I'm wandering around and link all settlements with provisioners to share scrap

 

Been doing that. I just see some elaborate settlements here, there, and everywhere. I guess people pick one to two and just go to town on them. Not enough resources to develop them all?

 

Gotcha. I figured I'd ask. Like OZ I buy as many shipments as I can and just pick up random (but needed) scrap while out questing.
