Building witb concrete is easiest because pretty much every vendor and general store trader has Shipments of Concrete 100 and 200

If you are ever low on steel there is a million steel trays in the fishpacking plant and they respawn periodically

    1) New DLC is out?
    2) They fixed it so you can fast travel from the Railroad HQ? Finally.

Edit: Is this mostly building your own vault crap, or are there enjoyable quests to do?

There ARE quests in the new vault, but frankly they're pretty quick and not terribly exciting. I'm happier with the building items and underground area to work in.

That said, a warning to y'all. When you do the single line of quests....do NOT scrap the special items, as you cannot make them later out of the normal build menu. I whoopsed and scrapped my stationary bike from the first experiment and now I can't build another one.

Yeah, I was always stepping out, and then tried to fast travel from the subbasements and you couldnt.
I think I assumed you had to exit the area, I thought you used to need to.

I was also exiting from Diamond City to the entrance, before fast travelling.

Sure enough I tried fast travel from inside both last night, and it works

Imma trying really, really hard to not go all "PC gaming master race" here.

It's not that hard, and not much more expensive, to build a PC that you can budget game with, and keep it going with the times to be able to mod. There's TONS of folks that can help you with advice, pointers, tech supports, you name it. There's thousands of Youtube vids of how to do every single step.

Hell, I have a side business building gaming rigs for strangers that I use for titty bar & gambling money. There's so much information out there, the hardest part is sorting through it. And there's lots of folks out there that will help for free just to see more people game on a PC (like me and some of the folks in this thread).

Console gaming is fine for a lot of folks. It isn't bad on its own. But if you want to go further, the help is there, and the parts are available. It's up to you to take that step.

My brother is a HUGE PC gamer. He spends thousands a year upgrading his rig. Just in the last couple months he's spent a couple grand on different monitors. He finally settled on a wide screen curved monitor of some type or another that isn't supported by everyone yet (I tend to zone out when he goes into full on nerd mode). I usually snag his year old parts for discounted prices. and in all told all I need is a new video card for my desktop. I just enjoy playing open world games on my couch, or in a recliner over a computer chair. I tend to binge play these type of games. Just like I'm counting down the days until Skyrim comes out on PS4 with all the DLC and console mods.

So...again....reallllllly trying not to prosetlyze...or however you spell it...

You have access to the parts. You can hook the PC in question up to a TV ( I have a 46" LG above my PC monitors for this reason....for streaming sports and movies and such ) and a kickin' surround sound system. I use a keyboard & mouse, and I also have a Steam controller for certain tasks and certain games that just NEED a controller (building stuff in workshop mode in Fallout 4 is controller only).

Your decision to restrict yourself to console gaming only and no mods is ... exactly that. A decision. You can do the same thing from your couch with a gaming PC and a couple of fairly cheap cable extenders.
