Fallout 4

Some games just aren't fun on PC. I just spent hours playing Stellaris on PC and even if it was available I'd never play it on console. For me, Fallout 4 is the opposite. I thought about buying another copy for my PC but I decided against it. Mods just aren't that big a deal to me though. If I was more into mods I could see the appeal of the PC version but otherwise there's very little reason for me to switch.

I did try to play Skyrim on PC and I definitely enjoyed it but I did end up with a console copy that I played more often. While the appearance mods were fun and I got skyrim looking amazing on my PC the game play just seemed more intuitive for me on three console and that drew me away from the PC.

Pretty much this.

I've never really played a game with available mods, but seeing as how the XB1 guys have them, it's slightly annoying that Sony is dragging their feet. I enjoy these type of games more on consoles, and first person shooters more on PC.

But back on track... I think I'm going to hold off on playing FO4 until the Nuka World DLC and mods. Pretty much burned myself out on the game.

 

XB1 has really been paying a lot more attention to the little things like media and mod support compared to Sony. XB1 wants to give people the entire media experience to people while Sony is still more of a video/game player without much else integrated into the console. There's a lot of articles about this and really either system is good. I play my PS4 now because I have buddies online who only PS4 but I hadn't touched it since release day until a month ago just because I preferred XB1 just for personal reasons.

Whateve's own both, all, or neither. Depends on how you want to game. Some guys like @OZ-T just like to build shit at home and at work. The PS4 does that.

Imagine if this was a multiplayer type of game. Oz would always be on and no one would be allowed near his settlements because we cant build anything plumb, level, and square.

So, I don't know when this went in, but it was recently.

Reunions changed a bit. Once you <spoiler>start having Dogmeat track Kellogg...you now don't have the first pack of molerats attack when you first start up the railroad tracks. The bear is still there, as are the 3 dogs just after that. But now, after finding the assaultron that tells you s/he can't feel his/her legs, there's a pack of mirelurks that pop on you just thereafter on the road</spoiler>. I'm level 25 in this run through right now.

 

So I built some steps to get to the top of the Red Rocket Gas Station. I ended up putting down a concrete block where the armor station originally is, then cement & steel steps up to that. Then a short wooden step and I have a small jump but I am up there.

So I moved up my turrets. There are 2 generators up there powering 2 lasers, 1 missile and my radio beacon. Then there is a couple heavy turrets.
I am no working on getting Curie's perk. I was just fitting my companions with Ballistic weave and armor pieces, but we were clearing some place out (Quincy ruins I think) and she decided to put on some power armor she found, so I equipped her with a suit of upgraded T-60 I wasnt using. I'll probably take that back, since its my leaded set. When its time to clear out the sea of radiation (whatever the name is for the bottom left corner area), I'll take that back and give her something else.

Actually not playing since this weekend. Water leak in AC drain line, through ceiling of office room, right onto PC. Came home and heard alarm from UPS, the splatters pooled on the desk and found their way down the cable holes and made it to the UPS. Its looking dry, but I will give it a few more days. It wasnt a solid case, but rather a thermaltake cube.




The good news is it wasnt powered up. Also, I set it up with the vertical motherboard (picture above on right) so while the MB may have gotten splattered (and undoubtedly did) at least water wasnt collecting on the MB or the PS or drives on the bottom. And water would go out the bottom of the case. I will see.

It doesn't have to be the pole type either, I did it with the roof mount insulator piece.

 

I tried that sweet looking case. It wouldn't fit my graphics card though . I ended up picking up his big brother the X1. Good to hear that it looks like everything is okay.

 

If you build some wooden prefabs of floors on top of the building first you can snap stairs to them down the backside of the building
