I'm Level 156 now and I have 275K in caps so I don't really care haha

 

Well that makes sense otherwise it's just a cheap way to level up. Mods are pretty much "cheating"

 

The settlement build max is still there , so you can only build up thr settlement with the same amount of items whether they are vanilla or not

My point was having more buildable items isn't cheating it just means you have access to more items to build your settlement with

So I checked tonight and you're incorrect , you still do get XP for crafting build items in your settlement even if they are items only accessible with the "unlock all settlement items" mod and not in the vanilla build menus

 

Really? Maybe it just doesn't make the crafting noise anymore / show your meter going up. I made some stim packs and my experience meter didn't go up, or at least it didn't look or sound like it. It seemed like anything that didn't use any supply's to craft or only cost 1 cap didn't give experience.
I was also hoping you could make generators without the science requirement, upgrade guns without the gun perk etc... But that's not the case.
I uninstalled it. I don't really want more stuff to be able to build, I wanted the requirements removed. So the cheat chest at all settlements is good enough for me. O and a bunch of free caps at sanctuary is pretty good too.

 

Yeah you get the built new item bell sound and it shows the XP bar with whatever XP it gives
