Fallout 4

Finished my castle walls perfectly. Filled all the gaps. Now im gonna make an entire second floor over the open area. Might end up making it my main if i can build it tall enough.

Also bought the last minute rifle just to store away for now. Upgraded some legendary weapons (tommy gun to 32dmg plus 15 explosive, 92dmg hunting rifle with 15 incendiary). Turned up the difficulty to hard = more legendary items and its not stupid easy now.

 

Steam just leaked some possible dates for the Fall Sale and people are speculating FallOut 4 might get a 10-15% off at that time.

 

Spent a little time raiding after getting the scrapper perk that allows you to break things down for rare parts like screws and adhesive. So much fun modding now with gun nut. I need science to build up my laser weapons.

A little advice if you're struggling with ammo, build a ton of water purification plants, sell the water and trade it for ammo. Each day the plants produce like 30 water.

 

Struggling with ammo? Is that a thing? I have tons of ammo for everything! Started uing my tommy gun just to fuck shit up, took down someone in power armor like nothing.

 

Meh guess thats good if you have to buy it through steam. Youve been able to get it for 20% off through various sites (via codes) for a while now.

I got both perks for scavenger so should have plenty of components to mod to my hearts content!

As for ammo....i tend to switch ammo types when i start getting "low" (low being around 200 rounds). Use my 38 pistol till its low, then switch to the 45, then back to 38, ect.



But i just started the Brotherhood of Steel questline. Its worth doing at least the first like two missions for a nice laser rifle. Ill finally start using up the like 2500 cells i have for laser rifles. Need to level up science now too.

 

Theres a better laser rifle later on too. Just check everywhere on somee ship (youll know what im talking about)

So far the brotherhood is my favorite.

 

Good to know. id skipped all the laser rifles cause i was never happy with any of them. So was nice to see one that finally compared to the conventional weapons.

I havent done enough of the brotherhood to know how much ill like them. But i like them more than railroad so far. Going to do some of their missions before i move on with the main story.

Just set up Sanctuary as a massive water purification plant. Been modding my guns like crazy now that I can afford parts and ammo. Making so much water!

 

Meh, I find there is lots of ammo. However, if you stick to one gun and ammo type you will probably run out at some point. I work both the combat rifle and laser rifle together on my missions and I never have a problem with just those two guns.

However, early in the game, I remember running out of gun constantly. I also seem to find more fatman launchers than actual ammo. Does anyone know if eventually at a certain level you can commonly find mini nukes? I remember Fallout 3 was like that. Sooner or later the shops carried them and then you could buy tons.

I have a settlement building question .

In Sanctuary I have 6 settlers currently , 6 food , 10 beds , tons of water and defenses and a radio beacon .

When I planted the original crops to get 6 food I assigned a worker to the crops

I have since planted a bunch more crop plants in the same garden area but my food remains at 6

Is there a maximum amount of plants 1 worker can care for or do I need to reassign the worker now that I've added plants or what

I just did a bit of digging and it seems 1 worker can tend 6 plant units so I'm going to try to assign another worker and see how that goes

 

How do you assign people to things? I planted a couple crops without assigning anyone to it but they still produce food for the settlement.

 

Yeah you just gotta assign a few people. I have like 4 in the garden there. You don't have to assign each plant. They usually do it automatically with enough people

Open the crafting menu , hover over a settler and you will see command / go / assign as an option , walk over to the plants or gaurd post and hit assign
