    So, my internet and cable have been down for...lets see, this is day 10 now :(

    BUT, it's given me a bunch of time to play!

    So, checkit....the rarest powerarmor of them all - the X-01 prototype. There's only a couple of them in game, and they're the closest you can get to a Hulkbuster

    With armorer perk, I added Titanium plating and auto-stimpacking, plus a VATS targetting overlay to the helm. And I cranked it from Mark 3 to Mark 6 for extra resistances.

    Look at these silly numbers...

    And the torso...

    SO, that gives us....lets see, two arms, two legs, and a helmet at 229 health each, that's 1145
    916 from the chest, that adds up to...2061 health just from the armor, and that doesn't include you or what you're already wearing underneath.

    :notsure: dont see the enjoyment in restarting only to come to the same exact point unless your doing completely different character builds every time

    I'm telling myself that once I get X 01 I'll just stay in it the rest of the game. Just a note, when in power armor, the effects of your regular armor underneath are eliminated.

    That's true, but other bonuses and perks are not.

    If you have HP plus food in you, or extra resist, I believe those are added.

    So, the crank musket is easily the best lead-off weapon in the game. Especially my two-shot one.

    104 damage. Six cranks gets that up to 624. Two-shot doubles that number to 1248. I haven't done the math, but the sneak attack critical hits would be even higher. Naturally, it's a one-and-done weapon for starting the combat since it takes forever to get the 6 cranks, but that first hit will one-shot pretty much anything.

    I named mine "DP"...

    That's why I save at DCmarket. I go to the DR. and change my character and start from there.

    Oh, also....on the X-01, when you use the headlamp, unlike the normal suits, instead of using the 'flashlight bolted to the side of your helm' look , the X-01 has the eyes itself light up and become the reverse-binoc look for the searchlights.

    I'll see about getting a screenie of the red ones when I get home tonight.

    I'm a sniper character and that was the first weapon I fully modded out. I only use it to take out big guys from a distance. I also have my .50 cal that kicks ass and I'm working on my laser sniper. Turning a laser rifle slowly into a sniper. Need a lot more fiber optics. Finally got the improved sniper barrel. Waiting to get long recon scope and overcharged capacitor.

    The long recon scopes are silly fun. I lurve being able to track them as they run through buildings and duck behind cover.

    Yeah, I use DP for the first shot, then switch to my gauss rifle "Gaussanova" for follow ups. If they get too close, I move to my combat shotgun "Boomstick" or the junk-jet with the ignition module loaded with pre-war money I named "Capitalism".

    Naming the weapons is almost as fun as using them.

    Hmm maybe i should find another laser musket. Did not enjoy it for the first rifle weapon especially in close quarters.

    I use melee pretty often but couldnt see building a character around it. There just arent enough weapons or mods to really make it interesting imo.
