So, since my internet might actually stay up for a while, no gaming for me tonight, as there's football on

However, since I started SUCH a shitstorm, I might as well toss these in here for your pleasure.

Apparently, my level and time played are a dick waving measure. Does that I'm playing as a tiny redhead sniper from hell matter?

    Heh

The X-01 really does look kinda Hulkbuster-ish. Or Juggernautish. Either way, here's a back shot to see how bright those eyes get even in the daylight

Thanks for the last few posts Xaks! You made me laugh today. Really hard. And I needed that after a crappy day at work.

So I think I just beat the main story. Not sure if I should join the Institute or not. I'm pretty hestiant.

    Any opinions?

Personally, I didn't care for the institute. But my file got overwritten by accident so I couldn't really see what they were like after the story. The scientists seem to pretty much unanimously hate you no matter what from what I could tell, which drove me crazy.

Also, pro tip. Don't overwrite your main profile at level 67 with all bobbleheads and all locations discovered because your dumb ass quicksaved on an old save to see if it was possible to steal a baseball bat from Moe.... Yay for losing an 82 hour save file. Totally worth it :bananadead: this play through will be with the railroad, level 13 and haven't done any quests past bringing Preston to sanctuary. Trying to rediscover all locations again. Top half of the map is done, working on the bottom now.

Wow this thread deteriorated for a second there...

I just saw the discussion on melee builds. The strongest attack you can get in the game is melee. I forgot what weapon it is but it one shots behemoths when modded fully.

I wouldnt join them. They didnt seem to have anything cool or even interesting plus everyone was a dick.
ouch that sucks. Guess if you already planned another play through though it wouldnt be as irritating. Id be pissed if it happened to my one and only save.
Hmmm if you could find the info for that id be interested in finding it at least.

Do you write over your original save file every time?

I create a new file every time I save (I think I had around 250 total saves for my first run-through). That way I if I accidentally save over one, I can just revert to the one before it. The time-stamp helps as well.

I usually run through with just a couple saves. Only because Fallout 3 GOTY edition was so glitchy on my PS3 I had to keep auto saves turned off and keep the data saves down to a couple, deleted most of my old saves on other games too. I finally got sick of it and just built my current PC but I don't think it was a common problem. Now I just do it out of habbit.

I quicksave, then menu save, before exiting at the end of a play session, just in case

That makes 2 physical separate save files, just in case one gets borked, I can start my next session from the other and lose nothing.
