Fallout 4

I quicksave compulsively now because I hate getting randomly killed and having to repeat the last 15 minutes because I forgot to save.

 

Just a weird heads up on something that I've noticed for Xbox players. If you've disabled the quick start mode on your Xbox to eliminate most of the glitches from Fallout 4, your last autosave always seems to corrupt, so make sure you real save too!

 

Gotcha

 

Especially if you just transfered a bunch of items or modified them and have to redo it

 

I've started to periodically check my Quests > Misc to see if settlements are under attack after losing another settlement without noticing any attack prompt

 

Also , is there anywhere you can buy a Shipment of Steel ? Graygarden has shipments of everything but and running low on steel is my number 1 issue in crafting

 

Diamond City Market, IIRC correctly the gun guy and the general store bot dude have 'shipment' quantities of stuff

This gets me all the time. I almost never see the prompt. Like, literally, I've seen perhaps half a dozen total times. I've seen plenty of 'failed' messages as a result.

Anybody started a kill everything run thru yet?
I cleared the castle last night which got me to level 20. I still don't think I'm doing the supply lines thing right with my settlements. For the main questline I'm on the glowing sea. I really need to acquire some more ammo and a radiation suit before I attempt it. I started working on building the castle settlement but have run out of steel and concrete.

 

Not yet, but at some point I will. Prolly not till I play all three storylines though

 

For whatever reason I'm only allowed like 6 saves, I even checked the system32 files and there was only 6 in there. Not sure what's up with that. I only use the quicksave option

 

Quicksave will write over a previous quicksave. Autosaves go up to 5 i think. Then manually saving it you can make as many as you want.

So in order to have multipe true save files you need to have manually saved it.

 

I decided I'm going to get to Level 30 before I do any more story missions

 

So question re: sharing your junk in settlements that are connected by trade routes , I know you don't share weapons or apparel but it seems like putting a " Shipment of Whatever " into a workshop at a trade route settlement does not make it available to other settlements on the trade route , anybody else notice that ?

where has this thread been... i just beat the main story last night. stayed with BOS and took out the institute. now I'm doing all the side quests lol probably the wrong way to do things but I'm not going back.

 

That was part of the Minutemen story line
