For some reason the synths in the escape tunnel under the doughnut shop (railroad mission) would only attack Deacon until I finally shot one. Prior to shooting them I could walk right up to them and hit talk.

 

You were probably still allied with the Institute at that point. Once you shot one they turned against you.

I pushed all three quest lines (RR, Institute and BOS) as far as possible before committing to one and during one mission they were all shooting at each other but no one was attacking me.

 

The rr is the only faction i didnt push till the end. Got tired of doing their rescue missions after a couple so said screw em.

You have to factor in travel time for the link person. If you put a specific item in the workshop in Sanctuary, then go start New_Settlement_B, you have to allow for time for the Trade Route NPC to travel between them to establish the link and update the inventory.


The one that's currently pissing me off is the updates (or lack thereof) of the stats of settlements in the data tab. Last night I was on a build & update spree and I have 5 settlements where the data page showed like 6 people, 0 food water power defense etc. Fast travel there and there's 12 people, 16 food, 18 water, 108 defense, 18 beds, etc. Or vice versa after an attack.

I hit level 60 last night, and my Super Mutant raiding parties became all Super Mutant Primuses ... holy crap. Even a full VATS of Deliverer shots directly to the face barely did a third damage. Had to swap to the emergency backup "hair trigger point-blank hacksaw of doom" combat shotgun. Ripped the tar out of me.

 

I play on PC. As I've noted previously, I had been having a lot of issues with the lack of control remapping, and had to pick up a controller to use while crafting.

Those had been being a PITA as well...one had a bad D-pad, then I got one with a dodgy wire and it would randomly disconnect and refuse to reconnect for days at a time. Then I got one where it would just randomly uninstall itself while in use.

Ended up picking up a Steam Controller the other day. Wireless, slick, programmable, works with all Steam games, and comfy. The pads are touchpads as well as mouse-compatible selectors for use within Windows. VERY nice. Highly recommended if you need a controller at all. Cheaper than a native XBone, PS4, or Wii remote too (under 50$)

They apparently patched the lone wanderer glitch and the money glitch. Lone wanderer didn't consider dogmeat a companion but now it does.

The money glitch was if you bought all of a persons ammo but one and sold all of them back immediately after, they would give you way more money.

I have never tried that but my buddy did.

I solved my issue with a lack of steel in crafting , now I'm building settlement walls out of concrete lol . Its chesp and I can get it easily at Graygarden

 

I tried this one very early on. It worked, but if I tried to sell any items to the same vendor, it would not credit me the caps for the sale, as if it was keeping the funds to reconcile my debt from the glitch. I reverted to an old save and never tried it again.

 

Weird. Speaking of vendors, Has anybody else bought Old Faithful in diamond city?

My roommate moved out and my profile was on his account so I started a new one. Finally built my .308 hunting rifle into a proper sniper. Next up is Old Faithful. It is a laser pistol that does double damage if the target is at full health. I was originally building an institute sniper rife but the institute weapons are so weak in comparison to laser. I do like the blue laser though. I'm on my way modding the pistol into a sniper rifle. Should be really OP.

 

I like my suppressed .50 Cal sniper rifle but all of a sudden I can't find ammo for it

 

Hm I guess this means they'll patch it off xbox too. I've been using lone wanderer + dogmeat for awhile now.

 

I have so much .50 cal but I'm not gun nut level 2 even. I'm only at level 10 in the game since rebooting. I'm gonna have a .50, a laser sniper, a full auto .45 combat rifle, a drum mag combat shotgun, and my 10mm. That is my end game weapons. Plus any heavy weapons I keep at home.
