    So my dads truck is a 2005 access cab 4x4 base model. (manual trans, windows, locks, black fenders etc...)

    I popped out one of the blank switches in the dash to finish installing his duallys, and was surprised to find one "blank" with wires coming out of the back. Theres no label, its not a switch, and the area is too small for me to trace it to the source.

    Does anybody know what these wires are for?

    Thanks for the input ahead of time!

    all 2nd gens come prewired for everything any model may have (locker, fogs, traction control etc)
    but it all comes down to the exact model with ecu that lets those actions happen...

    wow! so those wires would be for fogs, i would just have to get the housing, fuses, and fog switch, then plug that plug into the switch?

    unless thats the plug for the absent locker...

    The fog one would be to the top far left...im not sure its that simple tho

    It is pretty close to that we did an xb and it was pretty much the same way the harness connectors should be under the bumper too.

    Yea, the harness is behind the bumper. The left side "blank" didnt have anything connected so I uses that slot for the duallys switch

    Possibly, the inverter button on my 2011 sport is the top right one, but I could easily see them moving it around a little bit.

    Fogs I believe are far left and inverter far right.

    Bottom middle is clutch start cancel and two on either side are empty.

    Not always. My single cab wasn't prewired for fogs, for instance..I don't believe any of those 3 blanks have anything on mine, 2 of them for sure don't.

    Positive? I've taken apart 170+ Tacoma dashes from every year 2nd gen ad that all have it there...some have them zip tide to another wire in the far back
