My understanding is they don’t close early.... BUT a number of them have been moved because of a high rise going in where they had a nice big pod of them

So I have been thinking a little about some restaurants in the Portland area (this includes places heading toward Mt. Hood) that I personally like.

    Piattino - Nice Italian restaurant
    Ate-oh-ate - Hawaiian
    Reverends bbq - bbq
    Matador - Mexican and tequila
Mcmenamins - I like edgefield best but any of the property’s are good.
Tasty n’ Alder or tasty n’ Daughters
    Local Cow - burgers
    Stooped burger - burgers
    Tilt - burgers
Rendezvous Grill - probably a touch to upscale for kids food wise but I have seen kids in there. Also the most up scale place we have heading up the Mt.
Mt. Hood brewing in government camp (on the Mt.) is pretty good.
Timberline has some good food but depending on your rental car and the weather at the time it might be a bitch getting there

All of these are doughnut places listed in order of me liking them
Joes in sandy (bias because I live near it)
    Blue Star
Voodoo (not sayin its bad, Just think its a lot of hype)

Sandy has a cafe called Ant Farm that we like going to. Good coffee and food and they are a non profit that helps out the youth in the area with various programs.

I’m sure I can think of other things I’m just drawing a blank. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

If you need tubes ,sleds , gloves ,etc while you are here come by and see me at Next Adventure and we will get you hooked up. We've even got a little store on the way up to the mountain in Sandy that can get you geared up but the Portland stores have a lot more to choose from.

I second this but the burgers are HUGE... I feel like shit sometimes when I leave there because I don’t usually eat that much and my stomach hurts after I leave.

Be careful in Portland where you walk homeless poop all over the side walks and they wash their butts in the drinking fountains . Its on you tube. Filthy city

It’s not as bad as people think depending on where you go and besides it’s definitely not San Francisco who spent an upwards of $300 million cleaning up human feces last year

Spent last weekend in Portland, stayed downtown...walked all over, not a single human turd in sight. I did see about 500 Tacomas driving around though!

As someone who works in and for the city I can attest there are some crappy spots (no pun intended) but like any city in the year 2019 there are drug/homeless problems. Even my little town of sandy population under 20k I have seen homeless walking the street and people tweeking out.

the worst times during the month are right at the beginning because they get their money from benefits and use it on drugs and the first week in Portland always has plenty of “zombies”

I seen two homeless people arguing and fighting in the middle of the road and when I got off the train a little past PSU I seen homeless lady leaning against the wall leaving a steamer. Mind you this was all with in about 2 mins of getting off the train. All you can do is laugh

Are you talking about actual train, or you took MAX Light Rail, or The Portland Streetcar?

Homelless arew "camping" on ODOT property, one can see them all around town.
