I am still trying to resolve a ac blower problem. I only get low speed, I changed and tested the resistor and it did not solve the problem. Anyone know how to check the control switch or how to remove and replace it. I appreciate any help

normally when resistors go out, it only works on HIGH. Sounds like you have the opposite problem. Per the wiring diagram the high setting bypasses the resistor altogether.

EDIT: sounds like a problem with the switch or the blower itself. Supply a jumper ground to the blower to see if it runs at full speed. If still slow, then blower is at fault. If fast, then switch is at fault.

Tp bdsegal and Glamisman, thanks for the reply. I will have to figure out how to supply that jumper ground to the blower. I assume that I will have to get to the blower itself. Glamisman, does the schematic apply to 2004's also?

I do not know... someone with an 04 diagram could compare. Simple enough to check... check for voltage at the various blue and what ever the tracer color is out of the switch, If all 3 show voltage pull the blower motor, that should be easy also and hook it up to power and ground, it should run full speed.

Blower motor should be easy to get to under the glovebox. 3 screws hold it in and it drops straight down. Connector is on the bottom too. You either have to slide under or use a mirror and light.
