I would highly advise against doing that. I'm sure you understand the point of a fuse so I can save you the boredom.

I do. I do not recommend it but at the same time when you got to drive in freezing weather and you can't see out the window so you have to drive to work looking like Ace Ventura that's not safe either.

That’s exactly what’s happening.. I tried using a blow dryer with an extension cord plugged into the outlet in the truck bed and string through the small back window. The draw is too much for it work for long enough even on low. Looking into getting a cordless one until I can fix this. Until then I warm up the truck with an extension cord plugged into the house and a space heater :(

It’s snow here again overnight and I don’t know what the next step is so I guess I have to take it in in a few days. The problem is the dealership only has shitty little courtesy cars that will never make it down my unploughed icy roads! Today I had to put a space heater inside the truck to warm it up so I could even get the windows down! I can’t have frozen window that fog up :( so frustrating!!

OP, since now the added info on a non-working BSMS is fact, that points more of the problem being tied to the A/C issue. Specifically the fuse that provides power to both systems.
Just removing the switch to the BSMS system cuts the power to turn that system on, but the fuse that is doing it's job (blowing) has a direct connection to the doppler radars at the bumper corners.

Do you think the Blindspot monitoring issue is separate if it happened way over a year ago and everything else was working fine up until a few days ago. Even the icons in the mirror were still on. They looked at a few different systems and told me an expensive part needed to be replaced

With freezing weather, the plastic n metal (wires) changes and behaves differently. My guesstimate is it was failing and now if has completely failed (the wiring at the rear bumper)
But I just looking at the problem flow chart and the circuit drawings.:notsure:

At least the techs can't take you on a wild rant. You have an idea of the problem spots. Rear harness, A/C amplifier, A/C control assembly would be usual suspects for you.

The seat heater sends inputs to the A/C amp:

That is why we had the fuse (20A) removed, to isolate that system.

My biggest problem now is that I can’t take it into Toyota because they only have crappy little courtesy cars that will never get me down my icy snowy roads or to and from work. So I can’t take my truck in to be looked at until it stops snowing and there’s another storm on the horizon. Are you other thing that happened in the meantime is that it snowed last night and my windows froze shots I wasn’t able to even drive with my windows down

If only you had a code reader, there might be a stored CEL code.

Two things. Pic of the dog?!?

And you’re saying it pops and the blower won’t circulate the air. So is the blower tripping the circuit? They do go bad and are easy to fix. It’s under the glove box on the passenger side. Try to disconnect the blower and see if it pops the fuse

The fuse to the relay that provides juice to the blower is fine, the relay coil fuse is the one popping. It also provides juice to the BSMS system.

I’m not sure if this is at all helpful but I tried putting in a 15 amp fuse into the 10 and I was able to dial up and down my fan and heat which I wasn’t able to do before and I was able to dial up and down my sheets heater dial but that’s it. It’s still didn’t keep the seats or blow air. I took it back out

I might have to just take it to Toyota for that reason and pay for the diagnosis, until I can use their courtesy cars. When I asked about this they said I would have to sit around for hours while they fit me in and did this.

I’m not sure? I went to Lordco which is one of the biggest automotive suppliers when I was first talking about the fuses in the dash and then again they return the incorrect fuses they sold me and buy the correct ones and multimeter And to check to see if they had the resistor for the blower in stock in case that was the problem.. No one offered this! I should ask though. I really doubt it though!

3rd gen has no resistor for the blower motor that can be replaced...
