Fan only works on High AC/Heater

Hello fellow taco mates. I’ve had this issue for months but I put it on the bottom of my list. Fan only worked on high until recently. It stopped working overall. Took the blower motor out, blew some air, replaced cabin filter, and I noticed the connect to the blower motor is burnt but the resistor looks perfectly fine. Plugged it back in and it works only on high again, thoughts? Can I just cut the old connector out and splice in a new one?

Order one of each then through Amazon? They both show up as a kit, with a connector and wire

 

It is a kit.
The issue some guys have with the "kits". Is that the wire size is smaller than the OE wires.
Whether or not this is concerning to you, is up to you.

The guys that have used it, haven't come back and said it wire sheathing melted, so it must be ok.
But there's a reason Toyota used the larger wire.

 

Toyota had to consider the voltage drop and heat buildup of the full length wire, but if the smaller AWG wire is very short you'll get little of both, and what heat does build up will conduct into the larger wire. Yes there are limits but if others have used it without issue then it must be OK. Just keep the smaller wire length as short as possible.

 

As cheap as they are I'd go OEM.
