The main issue is the parts are supplied by (Delphi) General Motors.

Loose connector brought on by a build up of tolerances causing a loose fit. I have seen others use your method of twisting the male terminals and I have used solder tinning on the male terminals to tighten them up.

Here is a photo of the modified climate control unit on the 2012-2015 models. You want to make sure you tweak the full blast pin otherwise risk burning up the climate control unit and the plug.

I did this a while ago and left the connector as is. No issues or further damage to the connector pin from today's observation.

The resistor connector, however is starting to heat up a little bit past the norm and slightly affecting the connector. I'm going to remove the resistor and tweak the pins as well and then blast some Deoxit D2 in there to prevent further complications.

Not sure if you fixed this yet, but just replace the blower motor under your glove compartment. Easy ass fix, took me 5 minutes.

Not always that simple. There are several trouble areas that could cause the same issue.

Not what I wanted to be doing right now but only having high or off settings working for a week now had been less than ideal.

edit: Everything is working again. Just need to get the heat gun out and then tape/tuck the wiring.

    Great thread.
After having "high only" for 2 years now, I'll fix it. So these are the parts to order?

Here is the TSB if your problem is the resistor/connector.

Will this work on a 2014 4x4 DCLB?

So I followed the wiring diagram(color-to-color) from the forum. Installed the new parts, rewired, buttoned up and everything works good again! I zipped up the wires so they don’t hang down like in the picture. Seems to work just fine on all settings. Thanks again to this forum.
And tomorrow… I start the GMRS RADIO installation…and yes that’s dog hair everywhere. Trust me I vacuum every Sunday but Golden Retrievers make it hard.

Noting this thread for later. Or ASAP really, I just got home from a week trip where having a setting besides high would have been luxurious. Still glad I had AC!
