Haha I’m messing with you man. I was last told it was waiting on major parts a week or so ago. I also remember hearing they possibly were getting another area to help the process along. No idea if if happened or not. It will get done when it gets done.

Congrats on yours. Should we expect a rollout video someday? Or just a little sneak peak on one of these pages?

Yeah I heard that too. It’s definitely a small shop.

Thanks man. Roll out should be coming soon. I don’t have any good photos yet, but here’s one. Started the buildout a little today. Got some 3/4 insulation in. Gonna wrap it with carpet.

What kind of lead time do they give you as far as scheduling an installation day? Do they give you a couple days, weeks? Or do they wait till it is completely finished before calling you? Getting anxious at order #150....

They pretty much hit me up once it was done. Once it was getting closer to being finished I was hitting them up more frequently though, so I can plan around work.
They seem pretty flexible with what day you pick it up, they just try to do it at 9am or 1pm.

Looking at the original google doc lead-times appear to be 19-20 months. Can anyone confirm on their recent pickup?

Order: VO-195, originally told March after first covid delays but now looking like it will be much later from google doc data.

Followed up with Phil on dates but sounds like still some material issues and no date confirmed, still waiting for reply.

Correct. Last couple deliveries were right around 20 months. My 20 months is in about a week and I haven't heard anything regarding completion/install.

Yea, my 20 month mark is 6 days and no delivery date. In Dec Phil said jan-feb, but no word yet.

To be honest I would plan on a 2 year wait. If you can't stomach that look for someone already in line that is looking to get out of their spot.

Got an Email from Phil... as we have already discussed numerous times here, the actual build number you get from the email isn't your actual number in line per say, more so your order number for the website. That being said he also mentioned that their Instagram in no way reflects the current rate at which they are producing campers right and in fact they are poised to ramp up production by sourcing another Laser cutting/forming company to aid in production.

    It's DLX son!
Is the comment about invoice # not matching number in line meant to imply they aren't building (more or less) in the order received? Are they drawing numbers out of a hat?

Is the point that some of the numbers we don't see in the spreadsheet linked in this thread are items other than campers? If so, OK - I guess maybe the line ahead of you isn't as bad as it looks, but it makes the math on average camper build speed even worse.

Some of the VO-* orders made on the website are not Drifter/Nomads, but for other accessories.

there are other orders taken over the phone/email that are not made on the website, therefore don’t get a VO-* number...

So basically, if order VO-100 was just delivered, and you are VO-101, you may not be next.

True. But you have to assume the actual camper numbers are closely associated with the order number, or even less for that matter. An online goose gear order would stack camper build numbers higher than actual, not lower.

I think the frustration is from little communication from VO and hearing that build speed is about to ramp up for over a year......

I really wish they would do a monthly update or announcement. Something like:

10 campers being built on the floor this month. Build #125-130 are in there. Powder coated ones are going to take an extra week.

Something simple that would answer a lot of questions for a lot of people.

Basically what i meant was that the VO-number doesnt mean its your place in line. for example if your VO number 10 in line your more like 8th or 7th place in line

Good news on Vagabond front to backthe post from 805REC. Sounds like they are working their ass off to secure additional support for material laser cutting and forming to decrease the leadtime spike we are seeing because of COVID. Once they have confirmation on improvement possibilities we should be getting more info from Phil and Iggy.
