Anywhere from a few hours to half a day from what I’ve heard.

I probably can’t make it down there until end of March/early April as it stands, I would suspect that may be the case for many. I have family coming to town, work obligations, and the like for the next 6 weeks.

Did not see a Drifter with an Arctic Tern door installed. There were others without the rear windows installed yet. Plenty of rear windows stocked on the shelf though.

I would have to go back and check my calendar for sure but this batch of ten is the fastest I’ve seen made.
I hope the supply for parts stays the same and the next batch will turn just as fast.
    I’m 187 and hoping for June/July completion.

I would plan on two to four hours for install, it would depend on the options you purchased and how much/long you want to go over the operation of your camper.
There is a Fairfield Inn in Fairfield (and others) which is easy access to Benicia 15-20 minutes down the road. Also a Best Western in Benicia 5 minutes away from the shop. It would pleasant to make the trek out have a nice dinner, spend the night and go for a morning install. Then you can haul ass home sleeping in the Drifter if needed.

One last bit of information… if I recall correctly the rest of the campers on the floor were all PC’d black with the exception of one (Nomad I believe) in the raw. Jay told me the one in the raw was going to be cerakoted. So who’s planning on the cerakote?

I have definitely heard it could take all day, depending on the day. I plan on basically earmarking the entire day just in case.

I'm the Cerakote Nomad. Matching the Desert Camo job on my Tundra. I added the Tern door after the Overland Expo which I'm sure added to my wait. So you said there was a fully decked Nomad and then my raw one on the floor still awaiting parts? By the way, I love this forum. A huge reason I've been so calm throughout this process.

Jim, what psi are you running in your tires? With standard rims I've never ventured much below 18. Maybe just the dirt but yours look pretty low.

I was running between 17 / 19 the entire trip. No problem on wash boards, and rocks. I was at the winter 4x4 jamboree and rolled off an obstacle and the right front lost its bead for a split second and went down to 7. That was fun.

Being order #156 I sure hope that one of those black drifters is mine! I’m gonna have arthritis from crossing my finger so hard for so long.

I see on the spreadsheet that you are waiting on some special parts…? What exactly is it? If you don’t mind me asking. Surprised that it’s put you so far behind…

Not anything out of the ordinary. The note on the spreadsheet was referring to him telling me he was waiting on the aluminum drifter panels from his forming company. I have not heard from him since if he has even received the main panels for my drifter batch. Thats why I'm crossing my fingers that the 9 drifters on the floor right now contains mine.

    PROGENITOR!

    Father, I have arrived. :D

I didn't know if you Tacoma boys would welcome a Ranger in your midst, but it is the single biggest place talking about Vagabonds so I've been lurking quiet like.
