Order #201, got our final invoice (again), saying they’re ordering parts ahead of time in larger batches now, and our camper should be in production mid-Spring. I’ll believe it when I see it but nice to get some communication. They also had a link to schedule a 15-minute phone call which is great that they’re making an effort to streamline communication at the very least. Fingers crossed for some summer trips in our Drifter!

Anyone in the Benicia area want to do a recon mission for me? I have $50 for the first person that can give me some reliable info about where my order (156) is in the process. I have a trip starting in three weeks and I need answers. Final invoice was paid in October.

    Pick up?!

I had another invoice issued to me today for the awning I added in August and had confirmed the other week…. hoping it means I’m just waiting on that? Not in a rush at this point.

Nice! What options did you get?

a little disheartening (even more so) as I’m #193 and paid my invoice in December and have heard nothing about it after reaching out several times.

Our options: sliding pass-throughwindow, insulation package, tent insulation package, passenger side solid gullwing door, L-track on the roof, L-track on the driver's side, Frontrunner towers and crossbars, MaxxAir fan, solar prewire, USB/12V hookups, and brackets for an ARB awning (that we already have) off the back above the rear window

    Dang, awesome for you!

Kind of ridiculous that some campers (mine included) with a lower build number, and with less options, and haven’t heard anything about theirs being done…either the communication is worse than already thought or build numbers don’t mean much.

I think the order numbers are generally accurate for the order but certainly shouldn't be taken as if it's the order they were ordered and therefore will be built in that exact order? We're all guessing a little, here.

I agree to an extent, but it only seems logical to build in order of build number if their invoices were both paid before parts were even ordered or production of campers began….Especially when those campers require less options/parts. Why even have specific build numbers otherwise.

Just give them a receipt number to track individual campers and batch number to track builds if you aren’t going to go in order.

I probably sound like a curmudgeon, but at this point I’ve resorted to ranting on online forums during my free time instead of building out my camper that I don’t have yet :annoyed::rofl:

But for real, I’m not actually as mad as I probably sound. Just a tad frustrated like everyone else.

As an update. I heard from Phil today and he is still waiting on some parts to finish my camper. I have a trip to Baja coming up in a few weeks and he’s allowing me to use a loaner drifter for the trip until mine is ready to install. Definitely nice of them to allow this and I feel lucky they have a loaner to offer for that timeframe. I feel better after getting even a little bit of information. Thank you to those that were ready and willing to do some digging for me!

How did you hear from him? Did he send you an email, did you reach out to him?

Also, my $50 offer still stands for anyone who can get some info on #193 lmao

I texted him many times since January to no avail. Also called the VO number multiple times and finally got through to Wendy. When I got through to her it also happened to be the time I had scheduled on Phils calendly link to talk to him for 15 minutes. She told me she’d have him get back to me and he did text me after a few hours. Still have never talked to the guy on the phone to date.
