It’s finally done! Picked her up yesterday and immediately went to the mountains outside Tahoe to play.

Everything we expected and more. The extra weight made the truck handling much better as well.

 

FWIW my buddy Josh sent me pics of his Drifter over 2 months ago and VO just posted the roll out a couple days ago

What number was he?

 

No idea. And I dont even know when he picked it up. I just know that he had it on his truck in late Feb.

According to the tracker, #152. Sounds like #150 is waiting on L-track (per the other thread).

Another summer is lost. Just got word that my build has been pushed again. If it actually ships per the latest estimate, my lead time will have been 23 months. It's such a shame to see how all this has unfolded. Per the tracking spreadsheet, only 1 order has been placed in 2021 and they are only shipping 1 or 2 a month. I worry what this means for VO's cash flow. Our deposits can only carry them so far. Once cash gets tight, vendors start putting shipments on hold and the supply chain issues compound. I hate being the one to utter what more than a few of us have probably been thinking. For my part, I'm in for the long haul. I've already invested time and money into adding a diesel heater, second battery, bed stiffeners, bed caps, shark fin delete, etc...

 

Did you get a estimated build date/start in August?

 

You actually got a response? I sent an email end of March and tried their form mid April and still crickets. We’ve also already modded our truck so it’s hard to back out now after so many months have already been invested. We did decide to bite the bullet and ordered a rooftop wedge style tent so we don’t have to waste another summer. Figure we can sell it next summer.

 

Yes, I'm order 185 and per today's communication, I'm looking at an Aug/Sept build.

 

That's odd. I sent my inquiry about a week ago via the web portal and got an answer today. Fingers cross that you are close. Folks just ahead of you have finalized their build options.

 

I’m guessing today they’re catching up on all email. I just got one as well! Order 172 estimated delivery July/Aug.
